I am not doing my own makeup – but am also interested in product recommendations!

I use Bare Minerals in Golden Medium and it works really well.

Hey Miss Mocha, I’m also Asian and also getting married in Minnesota – a week after you. 🙂

Can you describe what you’re looking for for skin/foundation? I use Clinique Superfit liquid foundation and it’s a good match for my skin tone and combination skin.

Yeah, my Clinique powder never lasted long in my oily t-zone. The Clinique Superfit keeps me pretty unshiny all day, and I set it with loose Estee Lauder powder.

My skin isn’t really shiny, but I wonder if this routine could work for you if you did use primer first.

I really like Laura Mercier. Almost all my makeup is from her line. I especially like her mineral foundation.

I don’t wear a lot of makeup, so I’ll post some inspiration pics for you instead.  Wink

I’m asian too and I swear by Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and Nars Blush

I’m still trying to find the perfect mascara and I’ve tried sooo many.  From Chanel to Drugstore brands.  The ones I’ve had the most luck with are Le De Guerlain, Make up forever and Maybelline Full and Soft. I have the same problem with my eye makeup falling off to below my eyes at the end of the day, but I find that those do it the least.  If you have false lashes though, I’m not sure you will also need to put on mascara so you might be good there.

I also have the same problem with my eye liner and still can’t find one that doesn’t smudge at the end of the day.  If you find one, let me know!

Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner – it’s the only one I’ve tried that stays on all day, or nearly. If I prime under my eye (I only line under, not on the upper lid) with a bit of foundation and powder before apply the eyeliner it lasts even better.

I usually use Bare Minerals Light with Golden Medium. For mascara, I use Blinc mascara. To curl my lashes, I use a regular Shiseido curler. I don’t use eyeliner because I have a problem with finding one that doesn’t smear. I normally don’t use eye shadow either. If I do, I use a smoothie blend from Bare Minerals. For lip stick/lip gloss, I use breading pudding and Nude from BM.

As for hair, I am think half up and half down. I don’t know if I am doing curly yet because my hair does not stay curl! grrr 🙁
