I've found everyone here so helpful that I figure I would post for some advice. Does anyone have a recommendation for someone in the Boston area who does Asian makeup well? I've looked into the more popular artists and IMO, they really don't know what to do for Asians. I'd prefer someone who is willing to travel to the hotel that I'm getting married at. Thanks!
I'm in Boston (and Asian!), and I used Lypor* for both my hair and make-up and I LOVED her - she travels too (she came to my parent' house). I wrote a post about my trial here, and I thought she did an even BETTER job on my wedding day. I've been writing my recaps, so you can look through my wedding pictures or just see a little bit of Lypor in action here, while I was getting ready. I highly recommend her! I am newly engaged and came across this website. I didn't even know it existed! I was doing some research here on some makeup artists who do great work with Asian skin tones and noticed someone mentioned, Helen Fong of Makeovers by Helen. It just so happened she did my sister's makeup for her 2005 wedding, along with 6 bm. We all looked wonderful and the makeup lasted well all through the night! When I am ready to have my trial for my own wedding, I am definitely going to contact Helen as well!
