My wedding and honeymoon were booked and paid for in February. We can’t change it unless we basically want to pay for everything again.
I got a job at my dream company the beginning of April (a division of which is actually where we are holding our wedding).
When I started I told them several times and in writing that there were two periods of time that I absolutely would have to have off (my mother’s funeral the end of May and my wedding and honeymoon in August) and was told no problem.
We’re now under ninty days until me wedding, I’ve been woring there over a month and have yet to get my first review (which is supposed to happen at one month) although all of my managers have told me several times that I’m doing a great job and they love what I’m doing. I was granted the time off for my mother’s funeral, but haven’t brought up the subject of my wedding again.
I was planning on waiting until after I had my review and after I got back from the funeral to bring it up, but I’m afraid if I wait too long then it will be a bigger deal to get the time off.
What would you do? I love my new job and want to stay there (hopefully for a very long time), but this is my wedding that was planned before I got this job and there is no way I’m missing my own wedding.
