My FI actually had to be nagged and finally threatened. I told him if he didn't discuss with his brother and best friend (this is four months before the wedding) that he needs them to show up in suits, give toasts, stand up for him, and hold the ring/checks/whatever that I would be calling them. I guess his rationale was that they both were probably planning to wear nice suits anyway, we already have seen those suits and know that they are really similar, and so what's the big deal? He was, of course, way more involved with the bachelor party planning that his best friend (regardless of not having been asked to participate in the wedding in any way) was doing. I think he was actually going to email, until I convinced him (in another bride-zilla meets Miss Manners moment) that at least a phone call was required. I think what he said, (is this cool but not cheesy?
) was "Suzanno says I really have to talk to you about this..."
So no, have I absolutely no helpful suggestions.

I came up with a totally cute/funny way to ask my bridesmaids to be a bridesmaid. Now its FI's turn to ask his groomsmen. He wants to do something kind of cool but not too cheesy, cause you know the guys are "macho macho men".
Do you have any ideas on what he can do? Did your FI do anything cool?
