How many guests will you have?  I think it’s a cute idea but might be hard to accomplish with a large group.  If you’re having a small wedding with just close family and friends, they probably would be fine doing this.  Are you going to have an “additional info” insert w/ your invites?  This could be a good place to put something about wearing blue.  Maybe a cute rhyme?

you could play on the rhyme, Something borrowed, something blue.  … Something blue – all of you!  Wear your favorite blah blah blah.  I would outsource this to a writer friend, but that’s my first thought 🙂

I asked a question similar to this for my wedding.  I hear some guests will ask the color  so  they can match your colors but some will ask so that they make sure not to wear that color.

Just make sure you are clear that you want people to wear your color.

I would recommend against asking people to wear a particular color.  It seems a little controlling to me, and I think it would leave a bad taste in at least some people’s mouths.

I think you could include a moo card or something similar. It’s a really fun idea. I posted a wedding on the “real weddings of color” thread in which the bride and groom must have asked everyone to wear white. It looked really great in the pictures!

I will be wearing white and my wedding will be blue.

I would love it if you wore blue, too!

Not the best but maybe you can get something better from another bee.

oh i love when people all wear all white!  Like the R Kelly “Step in the name of love (remix)” video.  If I threw another party of this scale someday, I would definitely use that theme. SO FUN!

It sounds fun…I just have one concern…

I have such a hard time finding dresses that fit me properly.  I am short, full on top, and have basically no hips.  I can imagine it would be frustrating to have to find a particular color and a good fit.

As a guest, I would not like it.
