I have an emerald shaped e-ring, currently it is in the shop getting a halo.  Mine was purchased from bluenile.com.  Check them out!

Don’t diss the size 7 fingers! Here’s my asscher (1.9 c) on a size 7 finger Laughing

Also, I think halos ruin the beautiful simplicity of a step-cut. If anything, why don’t you go with a micropave band, like this?

@HoldFastHope:

Hi….I think the ring you are looking at is gorgeous.  I love the broad flashes that the emerald cut gives off in contrast with the sparkly diamond melee in the halo.  What I also love about this combination is that you can clearly see the center stone as it doesn’t blend into the halo.  The emerald cut with a diamond halo is actually my favorite combination and is what my husband and I designed for my engagement ring.  My ring is a 5.18 ct emerald cut yellow sapphire with a diamond halo and diamonds down the shank.  I wear a thin diamond eternity band with it and a 5 rown semi eternity diamond band on my other hand that my husband gave to me before he was ready to propose!  For reference my rings are sized at an 8 so that they are a little loose – I hate tight fitting rings!!!!!

Mine is a little more rectangle but more square than normal emerald cut diamonds. Mine is a 1.1ctw center diamond with 2 .5ct pears side stones on a size 6 finger (tho due to weather they are a little swollen in this pic so id saly 6.5 as its a little tight right now)  Good luck in your search hope this helps, I do tend to agree with @AlwaysSunny: to me halos are just to much and take away from the elegants of the asscher and emerald step cuts. My one advice is to make sure you spend the money and get the best cut possible that is eye clean, as these cuts are like looking in a clear pool of water if there is anything there you will see it. and with these VERY important to get the best cut as that will give it the best flash and sparkle since these do  not have the facets like a normal cut to hide the imperfections and make extra sparkle for a lack of better cut.

@HoldFastHope:  LOL… thank you but thats not my ring (dream ring )… my actual e-ring will look close to it … I know what u mean about the lengh this why I chose more of the classic cut emerald rather than the more rectangular one b/c of that very reason your sayingof the long look i dont like that either and I will have a halo setting as well … can’t wait to get it ! good luck with getting the ring hope you find it soon !
