Glue sounds RIDICULOUS. What about those little adhesive blobbies for scrapbooking?
Thanks, I knew it wasn't just me. I'm returning them. Even with glue, they are not very sturdy.
i ordered my favor boxes from uline.com
they have a variety of sizes, one or two pieces, colors, etc...
I got my ivory colored boxes at Michael's..no gluing necessary...got them w/ a 40% coupon..regular price was $19.99 for 100 boxes. They come in white too...
This just keeps getting better. I know no one else cares about this, but I am so furious right now! So, I emailed the company letting them know that I wanted to return the favor boxes (since I couldn't find where to do that on their website), and here is their response "Sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the order. The boxes require double sided tape and not glue to assemble." Haha - was that supposed to make me say, "oh, well, double sided tape. That's much easier than glue. I'm so sorry for bothering you." I don't think so. I tried double sided tape, and it did not hold at all. Not to mention that you have to cut the tape pieces to size for each of the box sides. I have never heard of something so ridiculous in my life. The description of the boxes stated that it was easy assembly. Ahh, I am so mad! Don't buy from Papeterie! When I return them, they are going to charge a 15% restocking fee - what a complete waste of money.
Wow. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience.
I ordered my invitations and some other paper goods from Papeterie and they were very helpful. I'm not sure if they're entirely in the wrong here - but it would've been helpful had they specified the sort of assembly on the website.
I ordered my invitations from them as well, and love them. I only ordered the favor boxes from them so that the color would be the same. They stated on their website that these were easy to assemble. They should have stated that they needed additional materials to put them together if that was the case. I guess I am more disapointed that I will now have to get favor boxes in ivory, since I'll never be able to find them elsewhere in that same color. I was also a little surprised that they would tell me, they don't need glue, they need double sided tape, like that was supposed to make a difference.

I ordered some favor boxes from the same place I purchased my invitations so that they would be in the same color. I just got them in the mail. Now, I knew they were going to require assembling, but there is no way to put these boxes together without gluing all the sides together. Call me crazy, but this was not what I was expecting at all. I thought I would just fold the box, tuck in the corners, and be done. Gluing each tiny side is going to take forever. I'm really angry, and want my money back. Is this how all the companies sell their favor boxes? Has anyone else come across this?
