Hey, all! Do you know if you can buy a domain name for like $12 or whatever, and then assign your Knot website to it? Or is that not allowed? I already set ours up (not done with it, but I like it so far), and a bunch of my friends use The Knot and know to go there, so I’d like to be able to have another easy to use URL redirect to it.
I just don’t want to go through the process of buying the domain and then having it not work.

You can set up your new domain to forward to another site. Sometimes you can do this in the site’s settings.
window.location=’YOUR WEBSITE ADDRESS’;
<br /><br />
If you are not redirected, please click <a href=”YOUR WEBSITE ADDRESS”>here</a>.

Thanks! I just didn’t know if The Knot would be weird about it. 🙂

The code got slightly altered when I posted it.
You do not need this part:
target = “_blank” rel=”nofollow”

Hi guys, I have started and directed my guests to my “the knot” url. However I want to custom design the site. You are talking about redirecting and I was wondering if I could redirect the “the knot” url to one that I can put my custom design on. Can you help?

You can purchase your own domain from anywhere (like godaddy.com) and simply forward it to your knot site.
Im not sure if you can redirect your knot site to your own site but if you had your own site why would you want to direct to knot site to it?
