(Closed) Assigning Seats

We were planning on just setting up a giant piece of paper w/ our table layout, and then making sticky notes w. each guests name.  We can move the sticky notes around as much as we want until we’re happy w/ our layout.  I’m sure there are computer programs that will do this though without the giant waste of paper…

I’ve just been doing it in excel…with a column for each table.  I think there are a lot of fancy programs, Martha Stewart might have one.  But it seems like more work than it’s worth.

I like the idea of doing it with sticky notes and away from the computer though!

I used power point to do my sister’s seating chart…I found a template in the MS online database and modified it to reflect her reception layout. Each table/seat at the table on page 1 of the document has a specific number which corresponds to a list of names on page 2 of the document.

It was labor-intensive but I am able to use the same template to map out where centerpieces go and everything so it was worth it.
