Just wondering if I am ahead or behind! So far we have:
-booked reception venue
-booked makeup artist
-ordered save the dates
-found our officiant (included with church)
-bought my gown, veil, and shoes.
-picked bridal party
-dates have been set for 2 showers next Feb and March
Honestly, I have been feeling anxious. I feel like I have not done enough yet.
Our wedding is 05/09/2015

– bridal party chosen and asked
– my dress bought (wearing my sister’s veil, and shoes and jewellery I already had)

– working on ideas for centrepieces

Now I feel behind!
booked pphotographer, engagement photos are tomorrow
booked venue (ceremony an reception in the same location)
picked my dress and shoes, should be ordered next week.
picked a caterer but not booked yet.
tentatively chosen bridesmaid dresses but not sure yet.
bridal party chosen and notified, those were a given for us.
flowers and general decor scheme picked, nothing official though.
OP, you’re well ahead of me, I would be feeling right on schedule or even ahead if I were you!
my date is may 22, 2015

daisy92: It sounds like you’ve done a lot! I would say start thinking about DJ/Musician and you’ll be on target.
For our May 23rd wedding we have:
Photographer- engagement pics in exactly one month! WOO!
Bridal party picked (mostly–there’s a freshly pregnant bridesmaid so I’m not sure if she’ll want to be a bridesmaid still)
BM dress appointments
Florist search is underway
Guest list mostly finalized
We’ve been looking at Save the Dates and invitations…I feel like having those picked out makes me feel less neurotic about all the details coming together smoothly.

Lol, this will help with your anxiety…I’m April 25th and relative to you I have not booked a photographer, bought my dress, or ordered STDs.

daisy92: We’re having a super low-key, small wedding so I might nto be much help lol but I have
-Venue (reservation at a restaurant)
-Ceremony location booked (church)
And that’s it lol. But we aren’t doing a photographer, save-the-dates, engagement photos, bridal parties, or a DJ or anything.
So we still have to get FI’s suit (custom, will start in like January 2015), my veil and shoes, figure out what we are going to do about flowers, and book the honeymoon! Then invitations and all that when the time comes.

thanks guys! I feel better. I saw another May 2015 thread and I felt wayyyyy behind. I am starting to research florists and have a DJ in mind, just need to book. We also have booked the first part of our honeymoon- we are staying a week in Savannah and a week in Jamaica. I am feeling so neurotic though, it is starting to hit me that it is really not that far away. I have also been researching people to do bridal party hair on the wedding day and shopped a bit for bridesmaids gifts.

- Wedding: May 2015 - Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception / Courtyard Marriott Legacy Ballroom
daisy92: Lol, I have the same wedding date as you, and we’ve only booked the church! I think that’s the most important part, and I’m not being too picky about anything else. We’re doing engagement photos on Monday – my friend is going to be taking the pics for us, so I’ll be ordering my save the dates after that. It helps that we’re not having a DJ, I’m doing my own hair / makeup (hopefully with help from my MOH) and I’m planning on making the bouquets and center pieces using real touch flowers rather than real flowers, so I don’t need a florist. The big things I really need to do are to find: a reception venue, dress / accessories / suit for FI, a bakery / wedding cake, and a photographer. Oh, and pick my bridesmaids! I’m pretty much decided on them, I just have to ask We’ve already pretty much decided where we’re going to be ordering wedding rings, save the dates, the photobook guestbook, invitations, and bridesmaids / mothers gifts, so I’m not stressing about those. Of course, it seems like in the area I live, vendors don’t get booked too far in advanced like in larger cities. We looked at one really nice venue who said we could still get the wedding date if we book it in the fall! Maybe early May weddings just aren’t popular in my city – lucky for me!

Oh wow, I feel super behind now!
– booked a photographer
– bought a dress
– sent save the dates
– decided on a venue and registrar, but not yet booked either
– decided we’re having macarons instead of cake
Man, I feel like we need to get a move on now!

I feel so behind and I thought I was ahead?!!
I’ve confirmed the venue and date (May 16, 2015 – paying deposit this week), booked the ceremony, confirmed a budget, and we are aaaaalmost finished with selecting the wedding party. Am I really, really behind?

April 8th wedding:
booked bakery (cake)
sent out save the dates
purchased thank you cards
purchased shoes, accessories, and wedding bands
purchased bouquets (non floral)
purchased guest book, table numbers, favors, and escort cards
i still have so much to get done though! I’m convinced it is a never ending list!

grace2design: i’m glad I started early! i am getting married in Dayton, OH and started calling places in March 2014 and almost every place was all booked up in terms of reception venues.

cece_intheuk: You already mailed save the dates? Now I feel behind! I have them sitting in the box and have been way too lazy to start addressing them.
daisy92: Ha, we’re both so lazy (and postage is so expensive here) that we did them online, and even then we only did them because a friend of mine said she’d already received two save the dates for weddings later than mine!

Hi everyone! We’re May 23rd in DC, which appears to be a popular date there because tons of venues were booked when we started looking back in March.. So far, we have
-venue booked (catering included with venue)
-photographer booked, engagement pictures done
-bridal party picked out, still looking for dreses (not worrying about that for a few months)
-officiant picked out
-room blocks reserved
It really DOES feel like a never ending list. No wonder people hire wedding planners..
