So, I’m sitting here eating left over chips and dip from superbowl yesterday looking up diets online. ha ha ha
Are any of you doing Atkins or have done Atkins? I know my mom has done it in the past and it seems fairly simple..So I thought I would give it a try.
If you have, did you get good results? Enjoy it? (as much as a diet can be enjoyed) Have tips?

Aktins isn’t healthy.
Look into the Paleo Diet. It’s a similar theory, but MUCH healthier.

I did it 10 years ago. It worked but because I wasn’t having any carbs I found myself bumping into things at work. Then when I went back to eating carbs I put on more weight than before I started the Atkins. I’d try something else like weight watchers where you can eat what you like but it’s in moderation and low fat.

@abbyful: 100 PERCENT AGREE! That’s exactly what I was going to post. It isn’t helathy because you cannot just cut certain types of food from your body without having repercussions…
@CatyLady: I agree! I did weight watchers over 2 years ago. I lost 34 pounds all together. A steady 2lbs per week. I’ve managed to only gain 13 of that back in the last two years.
Weight Watchers was good for me because it taught me more portion control, better healthy eating habits, and I could still eat what I wanted.

That’s what benefits it gave me, helped me get back intouch with my stomach of how much I really needed.

@CatyLady: I’ll never forget what one of the speakers at the meetings said at my first meeting. She said: “Ladies I want you to know that you will never be full again… You will be SATISFIED.”
That really hit home for me. I was overeating to the maximum. That first week I felt like I was starving. I was eating more often, but lower calories, etc. I had a headache and there were times I almost gave in. But by the next week, the headaches were gone, i had lost some weight and I was ready for more. By the end I was like “ugghhhh, I have to eat AGAIN!?”

@Mrs.tobe: “Ladies I want you to know that you will never be full again… You will be SATISFIED.” What a good way to put it, all dieting ladies should know this phrase to help them. 😉
