Great! I think we'll all have a blast. As soon as our other ATL hostess w/the mostest, Driftslikesmoke, returns we can settle on a perfect date!
We're a very creative bunch..seriously! Just read the NO. Georgia brides thread..great ideas and even some brides are renting their wedding goodies to other ATL brides!
As a board, I think we're AWESOME!!! And when all these creative minds come together, it will be so fierce!

I'm game, although we are right at the 1 month until wedding mark so my weekends are CRAZY and DIY filled. But once we settle on a date I'll try to make it happen b/c I'd love to meet you crazy gals! :)
We'd of course love you to come..you've been so inspirational and helpful to the other no. georgia brides here!
Btw, side note..where's your honeymoon gonna be?

It is gorgeous down there ...love it! Didya know that Bath n Bodyworks is having a special where you buy something you get free hand sanitizer in the new scents? I am nuts about that but if I have to fly anytime soon, I'll be swimming in that stuff!!!
Heck, if it's after your wedding and honeymoon, then you can come back and inspire us with your ideas at the wedding and sit back and relax..and know you have been there dun that!!! Plus we can oooh and aaah at your pics!

awww... I definitely want to come! I'm nervous about the timing though, the wedding is only 6 weeks away and most of our weekends are booked up with showers or work!

anybody know if the "Not Wedding" is coming back to the ATL soon? I really wanted to attend that event as the site was uuber cool and very interesting..it's like being a guest at four distinctly different weddings and receptions..very fun!
I'd love to do that or any of the above..Heck, my son and T and I are all members at the GA aquarium, I'd love to go to Papersource (maybe see if we had enough bees in attendance they could do something special for us? maybe a DIY thing?), and definitely BRUNCH!!!

I love Murphy's! It could be fun to have brunch their and then shop the little boutiques for bridesmaids gifts, etc. And then head to Paper Source!

Btw Smokipenelope..I've not been to paper source yet myself! So it'd be awesome! And that brunch at buckhead pizza is so great for the $$! J Christopher's is awesome also..one of my gf's is the manager of the one in Alpharetta (It's so tasty..and has a gorgeous private party room for showers!)
I'd be up for PaperSource I haven't been yet either....although I may have to break down this weekend and make a trip since I am in DIY mode and trying to knock out programs/menus/coloring books/escort cards/etc/etc/etc.... :)
We were walking around the Highlands today - I didn't realize that is where Paper Source is! I have to admit, I went in and absolutely loved it!
@smokipenelope - I'm afraid once I get in there I might not leave with just the "needed" items on my list.
Completely agree - if my fiance wasn't with me I would have spent several hundred dollars! I am definitely going without him next time!

I vote for the atlanta botanical gardens (free the first weekend of every month if you have a Bank of America debit/credit/atm card). I think you need to make a poll of possible dates to get this going or it is never going to happen. Start with 5 or six dates and then take the top 2 or 3 and do another poll to see when the most people can come. A meetup is a great idea.

Before we set or put tentative dates out there, I'd love to have a good amount of us there! We have alot of ATL area bees and I'm going to keep bumping up this thread.
I've also found out there are some bridal shows coming soon. And if we had significant interest, I'll make a few calls (including paper source) and see if they could do a workshop or something for us (like STD 's or basics of invitation creation if they would be so kind..not sure how they'd handle) and secure a spot for brunch before!
So bump... bump bump!!!!

I'll give this one week and try to save the date/get ideas set. I am on call the last weekend of this month so maybe in 2 weeks might be good? Again, lets try to see how many bees we have wanting to enjoy brunch out and a field trip!!! We can bring our cameras and have a blast!!!

Hey! Welcome to the hive! So glad to have you..We're having it June 20th..Saturday and we're meeting up (not sure which place yet but I love Murphy's) in the Virginia Highlands and then making a field trip to Paper Source, the source for all things paper and do some sort of a crafts class.
The official Metro ATL Bee-Party meetup thread I'm gonna bump for you! We'll meet for brunch first and then off we go to paper source!

Ok. I will not in any way be subtle about it..let's have a meetup!
We first attempted a month or so ago, but somehow it fizzled. Weather's great. Lots of fun things to do in this city and great places for us to meet~
Let me know what you'd like..I am thinking meeting up for brunch on a saturday and maybe a "hotlanta bee field trip" for us either to a bridal show or to possibly even paper source's new ATL shop so we can not fear the DIY!
Needing some feedback from all our metro Atlanta bees!
