I've got a $2000 photography budget, and I can't seem to find anyone I love for that price!  Everyone who has photos that I love seem to charge over $3000.  Some of these guys are well worth it, but it's just not possible for me.  Anyone have a great photographer that was under $2000?

    Thanks!

I know someone from my high school is living in ATL and doing photography, I think she's done a couple of weddings but she's still in photography school. Her name is Lauren Nelson, you'd have to look her up on facebook I think but her photos are beautiful!

    Good luck!

I wanted to use this photographer - she is a friend of a friend, and her stuff is great!  She's also very reasonable & quoted me $2k for a full day w/ 2 photographers & some other perks included (I think the cd is included in that).  Anyway, my parents already signed a contract with someone their friends recommended, but check out her website!  Her pictures are fantastic!

A friend of mine just got married and used this photographer:  http://www.aarondill.com/

His pricing is very reasonable (should be less than 2K) and the pictures of her wedding were amazing!

Thanks guys!  These are all great suggestions, that I'd never have been able to find on my own!  More suggestions are always welcome, although I'm checking into all of these.  :)

Here are a few other options:

Climie + Co - Not sure if they are in your budget but I had to give them a little link love since they rock.  :)  www.climie.com

Karen Nickel - she and her husband were our 2nd choice when we hired our photographer.  I love her style & personality and hope to use her for something in the future.  Plus she's a super fun person to be around!  Her packages started at $1500.  This is the link to her site:  www.karennickelphotography.com  And this is a link to another Atlanta blogger I followed who used her recently who has started posting wedding photos and they are great:  http://jessicaralph.blogspot.com/

Jessica Purvis:  Another photographer we interviewed and liked.  I believe her packages started around the $2K range.  http://jessicapurvis.com

This is another photographer that our venue recommended:

http://www.parismountainphotography.com  (def. in your price range, but no clue on photo quality other than website).

We are using Jeff Roffman.  http://www.jeffroffmanphotography.com/

His packages for weddings range from $1,500 to $2,200.  He is really nice and personable.  We already had our engagement pictures session with him and were impressed with the results.

FI and I are using a friend of mine from HS and college. He has been doing photojournalism (for college, AP, etc) for a few years and is getting into weddings. He has an amazing style and are so stoked to use him! I definitely think he would fit within your budget.

Check him out - http://www.joshdweiss.com/photoblog/ (he has a wedding section) -- feel free to tell him that Anna told you about him. He's a wonderful person and a fantastic photographer!

My FSIL got married a year ago and used Jenica Johnson www.jenicajohnsonphotography.com

She did a GREAT job and her prices are pretty reasonable.  My FSIL didn't want too many posed pictures and wanted to capture more in the moment pictures.  Jenica did a great job of this!!

Hi!  I went to college with this photographer and he and his wife are now a photography duo!  It's www.blumephotography.com and basic wedding coverage starts at $1,900!  One of my good friends booked them for her wedding and she just got her engagement pictures back and I love them!

We had the same budget, $2,000, and were afraid it would be impossible to find a decent photographer! We were pleasantly surprised...after meeting with 5 photographers in person, and looking at 100s online, we ended up signing with Rick & Jen Falco (http://www.jenandrick.com/Site/home.html), who had photographed a friend's wedding a few years ago. They're located up in Canton, but I think that may be one reason why their prices are a little less than others I.T.P. Another great choice, who one of my bridesmaids is using for her own wedding, is D&F Photography in Woodstock (http://www.df-photography.com/).

We are using Jeff Roffman Photography as well.  His photos have that artsy, photojournalistic spin that we really wanted.  We met him when I was a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding and he was so nice and unobtrusive -- everyone loved him.  He is located in town but travelled to Athens for my friend's wedding -- so he does travel too!  His packages go from $1500 to $2200 and they include a free engagement session!  Http://www.jeffroffmanphotography.com
