Weddingbee boards

I'm having a hard time making a choice on my photographer. One of them wanted to charge $10,000 and up and that is out of my price range, I'm looking more around $5,000. I also want them to do a enagagment session in Asheville, NC. Any advice would be great!

My photographer is based in Arizona, but can do the wedding and engagement session and travel to both for under $5,000 total.  He does an amazing job!

LaCour was listed as one of the top 10 wedding photographers in the world in American Photo magazine, so they can probably get those prices, but wow!

We're using 6 of Four, and love them. They're amazing, and just the nicest people. We also looked at Our Labor of Love, you might check them out too--very creative.

Her packages start at $2700 (including albums) and go up from there.

She's super sweet and I've had nothing but great experiences with her.

It looks like you have gotten several other referals, but I might as well throw mine in too. I use Anachel. They'll travel pretty much anywhere. It's a new company but only because my two favorite photographers in town (friends of mine) decided to stop competing with each other and join forces. We are using Kelly Talele of Eclectic Photo.  She's actually more into maternity photos, but her wedding portfolio was great.  Even better - our entire package is under $2K.  Plus, she's just the nicest chick ever.

Wow...there are some really good photographers on this list. As a photographer in Charleston, SC, I am impressed with the A-Towns skills! : )

Climie is awesome and they are the masters at off camera lighting. Take into consideration your venue and look at it for lighting. If it is a dark location with very low light, then hiring a photographer who's outdoor work you admire might not be the best fit. As photographers, we can't put a sample of all of our work on our websites, but make sure you ask to see something that might be similiar to your venue.

I am in love with our wedding photographer, Heidi, from OLOL! Her pictures are stunning! Super reasonable pricing too-what a deal. It rained the whole day of our wedding and I was worried that I wouldn't get the pics I wanted but she went above and beyond and  totally used the lighting and even the rain to her advantage. She even sort of acted as a day of coordinator and helped us stay on time and stay focused. She had all sorts of tips for us and she was a real pro!
