Our daughter won’t be sleeping in her crib until she’s around 5 months old. (We’ll have her in a bassinet in our room until then).
I’d like to attach some silk bows at the corners of the crib and one in the middle…is this unsafe? The bows would be at the bottom. There won’t be a bumper since I keep reading that is unsafe and can contribute to SIDS.
How can I decorate the crib in a beautiful, yet safe way?

Hmm unless the bows are sewn on I probably wouldn’t risk it. I would focus on other ways to decorate, like a cute mobile, lamp, artwork etc.

Are you putting them under the mattress? Like down where the crib skirt would be? I would maybe think it would be okay at least for a few months, but I don’t think I’d have them at 5 months when baby can grab them. I would maybe decorate with a mobile or some wall art/sticker type things above the crib.

I probably wouldn’t do it. You can fancy up the crib with a cute bed skirt and fun sheets. maybe do it now for an extra pop but remove when baby starts sleeping in her crib.

Thanks ladies, I’ll look into a bed skirt instead. 🙂
