**Cute side note about the last pic in the bunch...A while back we both recieved these as our fourtune cookies at dinner...I don't see it as a coincidence, but faith at work!! I mean what are the chances of getting them at the same time and he getting the wife one. Of course I saved them because that is how I am (scrapbooker mentality). I thought I had lost them in our move and that they were tossed...but, the day after the engagement I was rummaging through my mess of a wallet and out they fell...I see this as a positive sign
.
Gorgeous ring! I love the one on the flower. I've always loved diamonds hidden in flowers (what more could a girls ask for?!) Congrats :)
so beautiful! and i especially love the story behind the fortune cookies! that is so sweet!
Wow...that ring is absolutely amazing! I love the band and the diamonds around the center diamond. Very stunning!
Thanks ladies!! I am quite smitten with the ring myself and I love love love my FI for doing such a great job at picking out something that fit me perfectly...my one worry is that when it comes time to choose a wedding band I may have some issues...not that you can really tell in the pictures but the setting also has small diamonds that 'V' down the front and back..I worry that if I choose a band or a wrap style it will hide this detail that I love..I will likely need to get a custom band made to fit with the style...any suggestions?
Honestly, I don't think a band will look good with that ring. Putting a band on one side will detract from the symetry of the ring, which is beautiful btw! Putting a band on both sides will make the ring itself too fat and detract from the diamond center.
My suggestion is to get a regular band that will compliment the ring, and then after you get married wear it on your other hand. I know it's not ideal, but my sister had a custom band made for a ring like yours and it was a big waste of money because she hates how it takes away from her engagement ring and never wears it.
I was thinking that a thin diamond band may work out well with it, but am still looking into options...I have actually tried it with one on and it doesn't hide too much..I think I am going to try and work with a jeweler in deciding what will be best. I can't imagine wearing it on my other hand.
