So I would love to know what you got your bridesmaids/attendants/flower girls! I am having a really hard time with this because I dont want to seem cheap, yet my budget for each person is right around $40 :/  Typically around here, everyone gets earrings, a necklace, flip flops and a candle!  I dont want to do the norm...but I cant afford much.  HELP!  What do I do?  Also, what did you FH get "the guys" for their gifts?

    Hi!

I actually got my attendants mini camcorders. They had them at Kohl's for $29.00 at one point! If you search around, there are a lot of great deals. The one I got is actually really good quality. I thought it would be a neat thing that they could all use at the wedding, and then of course for lots of time afterwards. I also got the girls pashminas when they were on sale for $10. I also tend to pick up cute little things as I see them. Monogrammed tissues, little mini emergency sewing kit, etc. Hope that helps!

I don't know if what I am giving fits within your budget, but it might give you ideas.  I'm giving them a pashmina ($10), a giftcard for for a mani or pedi at their local nail salon ($30), a bottle of nice nail polish in a neutral color (probably about $3), possibly Old Navy flip flops ($2.50 or $3) and I would like to get them a nice thing of lip balm.

I'm also trying to resist buying them nice make-up that they might not normally buy for themselves through Gilt Groupe, Ideeli Rue La La or Hautelook when it goes on sale & a little make-up bag to put in all in.

Well if your budget is $40 per person, then I'm the one who's going to look cheap. My budget is $20 each.  Some unique (and actually useful) ideas might be gift certificates to an ethnic restaurant, martini or sushi sets, personalized compact mirrors, or movie/concert tickets.  Most of these would double as good gifts for GM as well.

Personally, I would not like to receive makeup as a gift; I don't think anyone (even friends) would accurately pick out anything I'd be willing to put on my face.  Same thing applies to any type of clothing.

Maybe the matching jewelry thing is overdone for BM gifts, but I think it's a nice way to have all your BMs matching on your wedding day without forcing them to shell out more dough than they already did for the dress.  I've been shopping around for some jewelry sets for the BMs, and if I can find them for $20 each then I'll be happy.  :)

I got my bridesmaids matching jewelry online (Etsy -  $20/person), their shoes for the wedding (14.99/person... I got a deal) and I'm paying for their hair for the wedding.

I'm going to get my flower girl a little personalized bracelet I think.  I'm still trying to decide on what to get the ring bearer!

My FI bought his guys either Pittsburgh Penguins or Steelers cufflinks.  They ended up being $40/person.

we actually spent less than $40, and i feel like we got them some great stuff. we spent around $27-30 per person. i'm actually making the girls clutches from an easy breezy tutorial i found online. i'm then putting a "bridesmaid survival kit" in each purse.. it's got lip balm, a compact, tissues, medicine, mints, etc. i also got them all mani gift certificates for the day before the wedding (sidenote: we spoke to the owner of the nail place and told her we would have a bunch of women coming in for a wedding, and we asked about any special pricing, and they obliged--so, if you're looking for a deal, talking to the owner is worth a try!). finally, i'm putting this all in a tote i designed/had printed at vistaprint.com for $6! i'm hoping they'll all bring their totes full of stuff to get ready on the wedding day. i think they'll love it. :)

ps: i'm also paying for their belts for their dresses (well, i'm making them), but i didn't include that in the gift price. those are only about $5-7 each though.
