haven't been able to get on the site all day. I don't think it can handle the traffic...
JSYK they closed the program to registration...the response was so large!
Yeah, they only have registration for two days, and it usually fills up pretty quick. They open it at like 8am every year and I haven't heard of anyone getting in after the first day.
@Karissa: Keep your eyes peeled next year! They've done this at least three years in a row, so they'll probably do it again next year. Just hit up their website starting October 1st next year and look for a press release for the Heroes from Home program. They give a couple weeks notice on when registration will be, so you should try next year!

Sears is hosting their annual "Heroes at Home" program again this year. Registration opened today, and is first come, first served.
The program gives gift cards between Thanksgiving and Christmas to active duty military to help defray the costs of gifts.
