I need to redo our seating chart and get that printed, do some stuff for my coordinator, and I think that’s it? I posted a whole topic about thinking that I forgot stuff lol.

So much.  DIY and non-coordinated wedding = SO MUCH.  It’s ok though – I have a massive Excel chart with everything plotted out by day.  It’s gonna get done.  (Hear that, self?!)

In addition to the answers to the email our coordinator sent me, she needs to speak to me on the phone about more details. Can she literally not just send me an email instead of taking the time to send me an email, asking if she can speak with me about some details? What do people not understand about it being faster and easier for me to answer emails?

Hi ladies!! 8/31 is 17 days away!! woohoo!! I am finishing up my DIY projects (staining some flower boxes for centerpeices and some signs for the barn), other than that, I just paid off my final two vendors this morning. I just need to roganize everything for the coordinators to take for “day of” set up. My final dress fitting is next week . I have carpet cleaners and a maid coming to clean the house before the wedding and then all I am going to be worrying about is what to pack for the honeymoon 🙂

@vorpalette:  Weird right?/ I am totally the same way. I dont want to make a million phone calls, PLUS I like to have this documented. Both on things Ive said and things the vendors have said. Maybe just tell them you prefer the Email communication over the phone call. Its annoying for sure. But I suppose if your coordinators preferred method of communication is phone thats a problem. LOL. Although she should be catering to you, she’s getting paid!!

@SaraLynne024:  I did tell her that, but she insists that she needs to talk to me about the timeline and the flow. I don’t even care anymore. Our wedding is so simple and it feels like other people are really trying to make it complicated at the last minute.

@vorpalette:  Haha, you’re totally at the “Lets just do this” phase. Im with you. I literally just want to hand my coordinators everything and be like “MAKE IT HAPPEN”

@SaraLynne024:  You should have seen the look on my face when she asked me what color napkins I wanted. Like I care! Then again, I didn’t know that I had a choice (black or white). I chose black. lol

@willows:  I feel overwhelmed by everything.

I OD’ed on DIY projects and i’ve tried so heard ot be organized about it all, but i still feel like i’m forgetting something super important!

Going tonight to the venue to have a last meeting with the Co-ordinator over set up and stuff.  Then Sat morning a last min meeting with the bakery.  My poor FI had a breakdown over his GM gifts.  He ordered them online months ago, and the seller never shipped them and avoided him and never replied… and then finally, he just got a refund through paypal with still NO explanation. So now he’s got 9 days to get the GM gifts and as you can imagine… not feeling so good about that.

Haha. We still have to buy food/drinks, finish our card box, meet with our caterer and venue to  finish the food and setup plans . .. we have to pay the florist. Erm. Photographer wants to talk to me? Need to upload songs to my IPod. Um. I have a long long list in my planner. Oh finish and print programs, print place tags, put together day-of packet with all the contracts. Pack (I’m long distance from the wedding and my FI). Luckily everyone is essentially letting us pull it together next week so FI and I are both taking the week off .  . .

Need to make parent meeting plans also . . .hrm. Call a friend again to try to get her to be an usher.

But I signed a lease for somewhere for us to live today! So somehow name cards just didn’t rank up there yet.

Yikes! Time is sooo going by so fast! I still have to finish my ceremony programs, start baking our wedding cake this week, paint my spare bathroom (my mother decided to start a Reno project and wasn’ able to finish). I can’t think of anything else.

@pastrygirl:  Your list sounds like mine.  Like, everything is left to do!

We did a successful $700 run to Costco for BBQ / cocktail hour / Sunday brunch supplies yesterday… finishing all my gazilllion barnwood signs today… printing off the various paper printables at my office today…. packing up all our gear into the trucks and venturing off to the wedding location tomorrow…

There, we’ll worry about finalizing the seating chart and MAKING the seating charts… making the altar and photobooth backdrop… writing our vows… getting a marriage license… learning how to DIY a boutenierre and bouquet… put together and deliver out of town bags… stringing up a thousand bulb lights, paper lanterns, and tissue poms…. putting together a flower massacre and display team…

Then it’ll be time to put on my dress and let all the stress dissipate.  What’s not done, will either get done by someone else or won’t get done at all, and that’s fine.  Time for love and fun!
