I had friends due Aug 1, 10, and 25 which is really exciting to share your pregnancy and anticipation with others!

NOW - They've all delivered July babies!

Here I sit - assuming I'll be watching my due date of Aug 4th come and go as I have not had a SINGLE CONTRACTION.  Last week I was really anxious to get this show on the road.  Yesterday for some reason I had a total flip and I'm more relaxed and when it happens it happens.  But I can't help but want to be snuggling this little one on the outside!

I joked with my mom that if this baby is late s/he better be planning for a cool birthday like 8-9-10 or 8-13-10 (13 is MY number).

ha - ok thanks for reading my random thoughts :) back to laying on the couch and wondering when baby will arrive :)

@Jilian - I hear you! I am August 18th so not quite at being anxious yet, but I can see it on the horizon :)  I figured I would rather go until or a bit after my due date than multiple weeks early - I have had several friends been cut unprepared with a super early delivery!

has your OB said if walking or anything else can help things along?  Maybe you are one of the lucky exceptions that won't have a lot of BH and will just have a quick and easy labor without all the uncomf. buildup.

@Janna19 - I totally agree with you!  I'd rather go full term with a healthy baby than deliver early.  My one friend had an e-c-section when her placenta started tearing.  Thankfully everyone is doing ok but the baby was just under 4lbs and is still in the NICU growing stronger!

I had my 40 wk appt today and my body hasn't really done anything.  I do walk daily.  I've been taking Evening Primrose Oil orally for about 2 weeks - gonna start vaginally tonight.  Plus some red raspberry tea, sex, and spicey food!  We'll see if any of the 'tales' work some magic!

I'm actually pretty laid back and ok if things don't happen til next week.  Our big town festival is this weekend and it'll be nice to spend one more weekend relaxing with friends before 'everything changes'!!
