I'm kind of like that too. At some point, a week or two ago, I just said...well, whatever happens, happens and what doesn't, doesn't. I've been so much happier and calmer since then :)
I did just have to order a cake from a new baker and cancel on the original one for being totally unprofessional and non-responsive. But even that didn't seem like a big deal. I also finalized the program layout and design last night. So stuff's getting checked off that d&#s list!
I think the "getting married to my guy" thing has finally really sunk in. And the rest seems much less important.
What do you girls still have left to do?? The past few days I have been in a buying frenzy, trying to get all the little things ordered and finished.
I still have to print out my crossword puzzles (idea a la my fav Mrs. Cheese) and get them cut and the corners rounded.
-scan/print my pics to make copies for the "photo line" (I'm afraid I'll lose the originals)
-Find/purchase a card box
-finish putting together play list for ipod reception
-purchase a few odds and ends (bobby pins, hairspray, etc)
-finish my moss letters
I'm starting to feel better about things. It seemed like it was all falling apart last week, but we're now back on track! There are only two big (fun) things I need to do. I need to go to our local nursery and buy the plant material to use as centerpieces (potted herbs) and I need to meet with my "wine lady" and choose what wine we will serve. Other than that I need to buy some double sided tape and some cheap beer, bottled water and sodas for our afterparty. I'm still not in love with my shoes, so I may make one last pass at some stores to see if I can find something else... If not I may just go barefoot!
northernazbride- i'm in the same boat about shoes! I've ordered and retuend 4 pairs of shoes so far, and while the ones i just received are cute, they arent as comfy as I would like. I may only end up wearing them for photos and go barefoot after!!
Ack. Freaking out a little here but better than I was last week. Still have to finish 1/2 the programs, ribbon treatment on the favor boxes and tag, print photos for our photo "tree," finalize seating arrangements, wrap wedding party gifts, find earrings for me (I don't like the ones I've purchased), and various little DIY stuff that I've been procrastinating about until now. ;p
Yikes!
Yeah! I found shoes... that I like! Classic white peep-toes all the way, although I'll probably still end up barefoot at some point :)
Finding shoes was an absolute nightmare for me too! I must have ordered and returned like 30 different pairs. But I did end up finding higher heels for the ceremony and a lower peep-toe for the reception. My dressmaker made the waist on my petticoat adjustable so that I can shorten my dress for the reception :)
I'm having these reception shoes stretched as I type!
Honestly, work is causing me more stress than the wedding...though the reason is b/c I'm leaving for the wedding so...
