My dress is due to come in at the end of this month!
Who has their dress already and went for first fitting etc?
I remember from the dress thread a lot of girls dresses are coming in this month.
Do share pics!
My dress came in at the beginning of March! But they don't do fittings until a month before!
I did go visit it though :-)
I have posted pics a million times but once more won't hurt will it ;-)
mine's supposed to come in sometime in may...which means i need to get my shoe and long-line bra situation taken care of this month! crap!
Mine's not due to come in until mid-June, which is fine by me since I'm still working off some extra pounds!

. I'm so anxious for it!! The sample I tried on was ivory, my dress is white, plus there are other small changes I'm making, so I'm just so impatient! I want to get it and make it mine!!!
My mom is making my dress and we just finished the second round of fits. Looks great- yay! I'll post when we have the final one done. It's been a fun things to work on together- she's a great sewer and I fit garments on people for a living so it was a natural choice.
My dress came in last November (we've been engaged a long time) and I have been in to "visit" it once. I am not starting fittings until about 6 weeks before (and will hopefully be at least a size smaller by then!).
Mine is in... First fitting April 17th. I still hope i fit into it. It needs a bit of drastic changes.. im not game enough to post it on here it copped a little bit of criticism and I dont think ill post a pic of it again till all the alterations are done. And the dress itself is gorgeous, its just not sitting right on me. i.e heaps of length, neckline and waistline.
Mine is supposed to be in any day now. I'm nervous though because I think I've put on a few pounds since ordering it. When is the first fitting, usually? 8 weeks out?
I tried mine on straight off the rack and it fit perfectly, nothing had to be done to it. But I'm in the process of trying to shed off some of this "winter chunkiness" and hope if i go down a size or two it can be taken in enough!
I'm getting married in June and haven't started fittings. One day at a time for me. :p
Hm. I guess I just meant more like going to "visit" your dress when it's in. I know I'm dying to!
I don't know what the "official" fittings for the dress are? I'm just hoping to start any alterations ASAP when it comes in.

my first fitting is May 23rd. i've had my dress since i bought it in september? im soooooooooooooo excited to put it on!
Hi August ladies, I'm not one of you, but I'm close! I'm so happy to see you all saying that your dresses aren't coming until this month or next. I had some drama where they told me mine would be in in January, and then in January told me it wouldn't be here til late April. So reading this thread has been really reassuring to me :)
My dress is in (arrived Feb). Got a call last week from the bridal shop, that my veil just came in. Thinking I will pick it up this week. I will probably need it for my hair trial....and most of all since my dress is still at the shop for storing....I get to prance around the house in my veil...haha!
Mine's been hanging out in my closet since early January (it came in quicker than expected)! I don't really need any alterations, just a bustle since it's a corset back, thankfully, which is great because I am so lazy. ^_^
My dress will arriave in early July, which gives me 6 weeks for fittings. Hopefully not too much will need to be done to my dress! I had originally planned to alter my mom's dress but she is 5'10 and weighed, like, 120 when she got married and I'm 5'7 and...let's just say I weigh more than 120. I ended up finding a beautiful dress that I absolutely love, I'm a little nervous about the 6 week timeline for alterations but I have a corset back which should help ;).
I ordered my dress in January and it's supposed to come at the end of May. I'm hoping that it'll be one of those dresses that arrives a month ahead of time! It'a Maggie Sottero, not sure if it tends to come early or not. Eeee!
Gerbera: the dress itself is gorgeous and I dont mind the criticism, better to be honest than not. I knew when I bought the dress it NEEDED alterations and alot of people saw it before, which is fine. But I think the reaction will be much differant when its made unique to fit me! :D just the last thing I need right now on my ego is for me to have doubts about my dress :)
I got mine on April 1st! Tried it on April 3rd! I'm going to change the ribbon color and get it hemmed, and it will be good to go. Congrats bees!

I've had my dress since last September, and just scheduled my first fitting for this June!
I bought my dress right off the rack like a month ago and I was supposed to go for all sorts of alterations in June. Then I ordered my veil, decided it didn't match the dress and now my dress is up for sale an dthe one I just ordered from david's bridal online should arrive next week. No idea what sort of alterations I'll need : (
I just talked to my salon last night and it's set to get delivered next week sometime. Yay!
All the threads floating around the boards the last week has me fretting about my dress getting lost!
My dress is in and I get to go see it and try it on April 27th. I can't wait, looking at pictures of it is not enough!

FI and i were talking tonight...I really want to include my mom a bit more in wedding planning. But it's hard with her being 8hours away and speaking no English.
So we decided we're going to fly her up for a weekend coming up so she can go with me for my first dress fitting! EEk! My dress "should" be shipping out from CA this coming week. So we're thinking flying her up the 2nd weekend of June since I'll be home for Memorial Day weekend and May is too insane.

My dress came in a few weeks ago! I went to try it on and scheduled a fitting for early June! :) Super excited it felt like forever since I had ordered my dress.
Picked out my dress halfway of April, and I have been told it won't be in until ~6 weeks before the wedding. Which in itself is fine since there'll be plenty of time (or so the lady in the store said heh, and she's the one who should know right?) to get it fitted and what not.. but I am just really impatient and can't wait for it to be halfway July so I can go back and try it on again!! I have had a lil dress-drama/crisis shortly after picking out the dress, which by now luckily has passed and now I am just ready to put it back on!!
What up august 2010 brides!! I ordered my dress 12/09 and it came in march, but because I live far away from my bridal shop (fresno-pasadena) I couldnt get my first fitting till 4/23/2010 and my second and final fitting is one month before the wedding....I guess it depends on when you get your dress
My dress came early (yay!) and I just scheduled my first alterations appointment for the beginning of June. In the meantime I need to find a longline bra and shoes...the pressure is on!
My dress won't come in until sometime in June and will have my first fitting then too. Anxious to see how it fits, as it was custom sized.
It's still 2 months till my first fitting.. am trying not to be too anxious but gosh that's a long ways to go still ;)
