OMG I havn't even had my first fitting yet! I need to call tomorrow! My wedding is on the 7th and I am also super calm and chill lol maybe to laid back since I still have a bunch of little things to do!
I'm a little scared, actually. I do feel like the to-do list is getting smaller, but there's a few things bugging me. I still haven't found a centrepiece idea that I like for the reception! So I hope to put that to rest this week.
Other than that, I've been trying to find bridesmaid presents. And hopefully we'll have our wedding rings from the jeweller this week! And buying favour bags for the cookies I spent 7 hours baking with my mom this weekend...
Yeah, I started my fittings super-early though because I know my weight doesn't change. The unfortunate consequence of doing so was that the seamstress has had my dress for TWO MONTHS. My first and second fitting was spaced 1 month apart. I was supposed to get my finished dress last week, but it turns out she was super-busy, and now she's on vacation for 3 weeks! I miss my dress. :(
I would get busy with booking your fitting, but they can do it pretty quickly, I think.
@ccranetobe: Yep! I think I have a pretty good idea of what to get the girls, though... after much online research and thought! They probably will have no idea how much I agonized over it...
I'm totally fine in terms of the wedding. No real anxiety there.
But the past week has been crazy insane busy with non wedding related stuff.
My family was in town over the holiday weekend. This coming weekend we have a friend's wedding we have to travel out of town for on Friday. Next weekend we have to drive to NYC for a cousin's wedding. Then there's one free weekend and the next one it's the wedding.
I feel confident we'll get everything done ... but I just hope we're not dead tired from working on wedding stuff after a full days work for the next month.
I feel like we need a solid two days of rest to rejuvenate because we're already feeling run down from this past week. But we just can't afford it.
@ccranetobe: I'm a little jealous that you're so cool and calm! I feel like I have an endless list of things to get done! When I think that I only have 6 1/2 weeks to get it done, I kind of freak out. In fact, I had a dream last night that it was my wedding day and a whole bunch of stuff I needed to get done wasn't! I am trying to stay calm about it, I finally made a list last night and wrote it all down, I think that will help me! I can't wait until I can finally feel relieved that all the tedious work is done and just enjoy the last few weeks of engagement and our wedding day! :)
ETA: My first dress fitting is a week from today! I can't wait to see my dress on me again, because the last time was when I bought it in November!!!
First dress fitting today at 2. Still havent found someone to do my hair and make-up and not sure about getting hair and make-up done for the girls. Meeting with the baker on the 19th to go over the design of the cake, no music picked out and the groomsmen still dont have their suits. On a good note my invitations went out over a week ago so thats a big relief.
My dress still hasn't come in! The revised date is July 7 plus or minus 2 weeks. I would REALLY like to see it! I've been holding off on veil and hair accessories until I see it again.
I still have a lot to do but I guess no major major stuff. Currently, I'm stressed about the number of yesses I'm receiving and also about the rehearsal dinner. I told my FILs that there were about 30 people to invite, but it's really going to be 40 and I'm not sure if the place they booked will still work. Neither FI and I are very close to them (it's his step-dad and his girlfriend) so it's really awkward...it'd be easier to just pay for it ourselves.

Why does 38 days sound so different than 40?
Ack! I am starting to feel really nervous about getting everything done! I still need presents for the bridal party, hair/makeup trial, OOT bags, guest book, favors, ring engraving, programs....i can feel my blood pressure rise just thinking about it all! The days seem to go faster and faster the closer I get to the 21st....
I'm feeling fairly on top of things...this week I'm working on escort cards and table numbers. After that I have menus, welcome info and programs then paper stuff should be done.
I had my second fitting last week and my final one will be July 22nd. My dress fits perfectly! The only thing that will be a last minute is our ceremony since we can't finalize our service until our final meeting with our priest around August 1st. My philosophy right now is oh well!
I also gave myself a 2 week cut off--no new projects, almost no projects (stuffing OOT bags and now programs aside) to be done. This will allow me to de-stress and be a smiley, happy bride enjoying time with my FI. (We will no longer be LDR in 3 weeks, can't wait!)
Like something.blue, I have a DIY deadline. It's tomorrow! The only thing I will be working on is printing and assembling place cards and wedding programs, so I think I'm OK going a few days beyond it.
I was booking the restaurant for our rehearsal dinner and it hit me that this is all going down in exactly one month.....ahhhhh!
I'm getting giddy!
@rachelm1083: oh i still have a list of stuff to do dont worry! haha.. I.e still to book honeymoon. But im kinda like meh.. it will happen. Least im now not going overseas!
Aaaaah. I'm starting to be panicky. I've been calm the entire engagement but I am officially no longer calm and am in a state of nerves. Don't know why, I think we have everything under control. It's just that there's so little time left!

So Its not long to go ladies. I have 39 days till my wedding day and Im actually feeling pretty cool and calm about it this instant, but Im sure things will catch up to me soon!!
I have my second last dress fitting this saturday and hair trial this sunday.. so its starting to feel a bit more 'real'..
