Mail 14th June
RSVP: 19th July
2nd Mail: 7- 19th July
RSVP 31st July
I dont think I actually want to send out B list invites... unless the numbers are drastically low low.
I don't really know. Close to two weeks before the wedding will probably be our RSVP date. I think our caterer is only a week-10 days before, but to get them all in & call, I need to do early. I really need to get on addressing them to send them out sooN!
I think I'm going to do 3 weeks early. I already know most of the people that won't be able to make it, so I can send out a few extra invites with the A group. I think three weeks will still be enough time to send B list if necessary because my venues doesn't need numbers until 3 days before...
I can't believe we're getting so close!
Keep in mind that the vast majority of our guests live on the east coast, so we're a semi-destination wedding.
Save the Dates mailed 12/15/09
Mailing invitations to most guests: 6/1
Mailing invitations to a few new Chicago friends: by 7/10
RSVP deadline: 7/28
Wedding: 8/28
I'm hoping to mail mine out the first week of June and ask for a July 1st reply.
I mailed out my invites May 10th and I have an RSVP date of July 9th. Most of my guests are out of town as well as the room block closes June 9th, so I thought this was a happy medium.
mine went out today! it's kind of early, but many of our guests are oot, and we need to get the final count to the caterer by july 26. our rsvp deadline is july 1, and the hotel blocks close on july 7
we mailed ours out in may (because 1/2 of our guests need to travel out of country to get there) with a july 1 deadline for an august 14 wedding. we're not having a "b" list and our caterer needs 1 month notice in case we need to overhaul the menu (due to space constraints... hopefully not) july 1 would give us 2 weeks to hunt down stragglers!
My wedding is on August 14th, and I made the RSVP day very early: 1st of July. Some ppl are coming from out of the country and I wanted to give myself plenty of time for planning. I don't have an A list and B list. I just have one list. I will call the ppl who don't RSVP who I really want to come. The others, if they don't RSVP I won't worry.
You'll probably get some declines in the mail right away, so you can start inviting B list friends very soon after the A list invites went out. Otherwise I think your schedule will work. Are you printing two separate sets of RSVP cards with the different "reply by" dates on them?
Mail: Week of June 14th
RSVP: July 19th
Caterer headcount due: August 6th
Sent: May 27th
RSVP Due: July 10th
Caterer count: July 31st
Cake count: July 24th
We do have a B-list, but we're hoping for ~64 guests and sent out 71 A-list. We'll see if we can even get to the B-list.
Mail: May 27th
RSVP due: July 14th
Caterer August 4th-7th
We do not have a B list and for the must part I know (at least on my side of the family and friends) who is coming as they (and i did too) live In USA and wedding is in Toronto (where i live now) so they gotten their tickets :) They are some last minute additions but that is a different story :)
I am mailing out my invites by June 20th and my rsvp is July 29th..
@jenbrandner - yes I've made my own invitations, so the first set will have a different RSVP by date than the second set. Thanks girls for all the input, I decided to push it back a week, to July 24th. We'll probably send our second mailing the week of July 19th, depending on the RSVPs we get back right away.
We're mailing ours this week, and the RSVP is July 14th (for our 8/14 wedding). It's a destination to Nashville for most of our guests, so we figured they'd need to make travel arrangements in advance anyways.
I just mailed mine today
My wedding is August 7 and I made the RSVP for June 30th
pretty early lol but I figured they should get the invite say yes/no the next day and mail it back lol why wait a whole month?
Invites are going out today. I repeat, invites are going out today.
Hallelujah!
We're so happy with the way the turned out! Everyone we've showed them to were super impressed and it's totally our style.
@Gerbera - how relieved are you?! Mine are going out Saturday, still need to put the finishing touches on them, I CANNOT wait until Saturday when I mail them out into the world!
@rachel - I'm on the same page as you! Mailing out Saturday, RSVP date 7/18, wedding 8/21. :) Good luck to us this weekend!!!
@rachel,
I knew I would be relieved because I felt that way when we sent out our Save The Dates. But man not only was I relieved but it was liberating!!!
On the one hand I'm so excited that I got them done and out pretty much when we planned to. So excited because it's coming so soon now! But a tad freaked because there are still things to do!!
Our RSVP date is going to be August 1 for our August 21 wedding... kinda later than usual, but we're having a tent wedding on my parents' property so we don't need to have a firm number of people until like a week beforehand. And I like that August 1 is an easy date to remember -- personally I know I'm more likely to return an RSVP on time when the date is easy to remember :)
Invites are going out July 1st
with the RSVP date of August 1st
for the wedding on August 28th.
.... It never occured to me to have a B list of guests! what if they find out they're on the b list? I kind of like this idea, and I'd probably do it, but we're already planning to invite literally everyone we know to a post-wedding BYOB cookout, so all my B Listers will still get to celebrate with us.
Invites went out June 3rd (Lots of OOTs)
Reply date July 23rd
Confirmation of numbers Aug 18th
It was such a relief to get them out
Our invites went out on June 1 with a July 10 due date. I know there will be those who don't get them in by them so I wanted to allot enough time to track them down!
I am a September 18th Bride but......
Out of country and out of state 1st Mailing going out June 18th and RSVP by July 18
Regular invites Going out July 18th RSVP by August 18th
I figure as the no's strickel in I can add guest to some single friends invites in the regular mailing pile.
Our went out last week and we received our first RSVP yesterday! The wedding is a destination for most (Nashville), so we wanted to give ample time to make reservations for flights/hotels. We've actually been surprised at how many people are going to make the trip!
My invites went out on June 12th with a July 14th RSVP date. Preliminary numbers due to the catering hall July 21 and then final numbers 3 days before. I have already received a handful of responses. Eagerly awaiting the rest!
Our wedding is August 21 and we requested RSVPS back by August 7
I requested them 1 month before the wedding. This will give me time to track down the people who don't respond. Then I can get working on the table chart.
We mailed ours about a month ago
Our RSVP date is 7/14
We havent even gotten half of them back!!!
Our wedding is August 20th and we have requested rsvp by August 5. Our caterer needs to have the final count on the 15th, so that gives us 10 days to hunt down any missing rsvps if need be.
The invitations went out a week ago and we have recieved some rsvps per email (for our evening guests) but just one per snail mail (our dayguests recieved postcard rsvps in their pocketfold invitations) which has been a little disappointing but I just keep telling myself they still have a month to reply.
Second mailing? Am I missing something...? Haha
I only sent out one mailing (?) and made the RSVP date July 31.
@hotdog: Most only do one mailing. We have a few extra people that unfortunately because of space we could not include in our first mailing. These people include parents friends/coworkers, old friends, things like that. So once space opens up, we are sending more, hopefully next week actually.
July 1st, I know its a bit early but I sent out my invites in april or early may

I am sending out two sets of invitations. An "A" list and a "B" list. I want to make sure I have enough time to send the "B" invitations, without having the "A" RSVP date too far in advance. I was just curious what everyone else's RSVP by date was, regardless of whether or not you're doing 1, 2, or 3 mailings.
I'm thinking
Mail 6/14
RSVP 7/16 (is this too soon?!)
2nd mailing 7/21
2nd mailing RSVP 8/6
