It is official we only have 6 months left! How are you all feeling?? I’m a bit on the getting stressed/excited! We don’t have a ton to do but there are still some big things – like the invites!
How’s it all going for you guys??

I was just going to post the same thing…6 months! When I think of how fast time has gone since Christmas, 2 months, it’s scary–will be here before you know it!!!
I’m trying not to get stressed. I was supposed to send out the Save the Dates (I just can’t abbreviate that one lol) last week but had to go to FL suddenly for the funeral of a childhood friend. So they will go out this coming week. I still need to pare down the guestlist though, I don’t like the idea of a B list so I need to sit and look at it–got out of control it’s up to 270 now and we can only fit 220, I don’t want more than 200.
We have our venue, menu pretty much decided, cake booked, our band, my gown, bridesmaids dresses aren’t 100% but under control (and I’m really flexible about that), FI’s ring chosen, centerpieces designed, invites designed and ready to be printed…I guess I need to sit down and make a new list. Meeting tomorrow with our venue to go over some details and of course, give more $$$! Plus FI needs to finalize his part of the wedding party so I can make sure we even it out.

I hear ya! We are on the same track.
I am ordering paper for the invites today. I want to pare down the guest list (we are at 342!) but i don;t think it’s going to happen. BM dresses are 95% finalized, i have my flower girls picking their own dresses
Venue, cake, photographer, dj, centerpeices, my dress is on order, favors, decorator, flowers are all done.
We are meeting with the venue in may to finalize the menu and some details.
Time sure is flying!

Yayyy! I know it should seem like 6 months is super close, but to me it seems really far away still. It will pass quickly though, I know.
I’ve got all the major stuff booked – venue (which includes catering and cake), flowers, photography, officiant. Bought my dress and received it. Invites ordered and printed. BM’s picking out their own dresses and shoes. Almost done with accumulating all the supplies I need for the decor, escort cards, etc. FI and I are having engagement photos taken next weekend.
Turning my attention now (or soon) to finishing the wedding website, getting a block of hotel rooms, making sure I have addresses for all my guests to send the invites, doing the DIY projects, getting my dress bustled, talking to our officiant about how we want the ceremony to do, and picking out the music selections.

I was busy yesterday and missed the 6 month count down… I’m not too stressed (I’m far more stressed about school right now!)
We FINALLY meet with the girl officiating our wedding last week! So now we have everything booked! I’ve been working on the invites lately and some DIY’s. My mom and dad went to an open house with our caterer today and were very happy and excited about the food and we officially have decided on grilled chicken and beef tips with twice baked potatos (and a veggie).

179 days, ladies!!!
We met with our venue over the weekend and gave them another chunk of $, paid another portion of my dress…things are moving along 🙂

I’m beyond excited. I just want these months to fly by! My planning is almost done, I’m not even stressed yet. Just can’t wait to be married 🙂

I’m excited, not to stressed out yet. I have the big stuff booked, but I’m kind of stalled on everything else. I needed a planning break after I got a bunch of stuff done- I was burning out a little bit.

oh my goodness I am so used to hanging on in ‘june 2013 limbo land” that I just panicked a little bit when I opened this board! We just moved our wedding date from June 2013 to August 25th 2012~!!!
I am excited, I am nervous, it is going be be a lot smaller than planned, it is going to be a lot sooner too obviously, but most of all my darling has to come home and decide on a location, I cant really do anything else until I know where this thing is going to be. scared

@globalmargaret: I would like the fact that it got moved up, I am impatient by nature so I like to be busy planning and DOING not waiting! Good luck with the planning…every day when I wake up and see how few days are left (177!!!) I get more excited 🙂 And I agree 100%, once you decide on where it will be things will fall into place a lot easier. We were up in the air about church vs. onsite ceremony but the decision was made for us, my FI’s family friend was going to be our reverend but he is elderly and unfortunately his health won’t allow him to be able to perform the ceremony so now we are using the ceremony area onsite (which I prefer anyway to the church, just wish Rev. Meyer could be our clergyman).
I like having deadlines, so I self-impose them and it helps me move along. But this way if I break them I leave plenty of wiggle room so I don’t stress myself out. I’m doing a lot of DIY projects, love crafts so I am really enjoying this. Did my Save the Dates, centerpieces, doing my invitations etc. It’s amazing how many options there are, when I was younger (I’m 43) weddings were kind of basic–you know, pick your colors, choose your matchbook favors (!), choose invites/flowers–now it’s limitless!
