oh man! i think my counter thing is set up differently than yours! mine says 101 for today. do you have an iphone?

ok, so i've bought my dress, MOH dress, BM suit, FI's suit, done with table numbers, made cake flags, i know which shoes i'm going to buy, bought necklace/earrings, booked DJ (and photographer, minister, cake-maker, and venue), made our photo guestbook, bathroom baskets made, rings bought, hotel block of rooms booked, honeymoon booked, sent out save the dates, have decided on and finalized invitations....

PHEW! i'm sure there's other stuff but those are the things we've done off the top of my head! our colors are light pink/charcoal/cream & we are using touches of pearls/polka dots/initials throughout our venue.

ETA: where's your destination wedding going to be? FUN!

haha, i'm sorry! i think i was overly excited when i realized it was the 100 day mark, and now that you mention it....geeze. lol. and awesome that you only need one address. i'm still waiting on a few for the rest of the stragglers, but a majority of them are out. :)

yeah, i have an iphone. maybe mine is messed up then. hmmm, oh well, either way...we're almost there! how did you decide on which hotel to book your block of rooms? i haven't done that yet. nor have i found jewelry or shoes! ahhh! we're getting married in gatlinburg, tn. i absolutely love the mountains, and it's one of our favorite places in the world (aside from some tropical paradise!) how many people are you expecting? and how did you decide what to put in your bathroom baskets? sorry so many questions, just unsure of a few things! and BEAUTIFUL color scheme. i bought my dress before figuring a color scheme, and since my dress had black beading...we did the traditional ivory and black, with a red accent color! i'm leaning towards red shoes. whatcha' think?

My colors are like a combination of both of yours! We are doing white, black, charcoal and red and we have polka dots everywhere (including our tableclothes!)

It seems to be a lot easier to list what we still have left to do instead of what we have done. We have to book our tables/chairs/tableclothes (we know what we want, we just have to get our butts in gear), finalize with the caterer, buy my shoes (I know what I am getting, just once again..was waiting on funds) and revist our ceremony site to refresh our memories.

@mrs.jk: I'd also love to know what you put in your bathroom baskets. I still have to make these as well!

ooooh! a wedding in the mountains sounds fanastically beautiful! i'm loving your colors! red shoes will be perfect! :)

ok, so we are expecting between 130-150 people. we found a hotel that is close to our venue, checked out some reviews, and picked the best lookin' one! the people that are coming in from out of town are not that picky, luckily! when thinking about bathroom baskets i just thought about things that i've wished i had at wedding receptions: pepto bismol, floss, gum, hairspray, static guard, tide stain pen, bug spray/bug bite ointment... things like that! we went to a discount store and hit up the travel-section - they had most everything we needed.

no problem on the questions... ask away!

i agree. i think it's easier to say what you still need to get done! since our venue has all the tables and chairs, we just needed linens! now i'm between a rock and hard place for centerpieces. i was the newly engaged buyer, who bought stuff thinking "oh, this would be awesome!" and now i've got a ton of stuff, and i'm not sure if i like it anymore! lol. how did you both pick your centerpieces?

@MissTatas: i can make up a list of the stuff we put in the baskets if you want!

@anglang25: our centerpieces are going to be very simple. a 5x5x5 square glass vase filled with white or cream roses and white hydrangeas...  and then 3-4 glass votive candle holders, each with a cream colored votive candle! i'm still trying to figure out our table number holders -- tall or short?!

i never even thought about bug spray! silly me. lol. and good choices on the baskets. i think i'll have to copy the idea. :) we're only having about 65 people, and i envy you with a big wedding! we both have small families, and many of our friends can't travel since we work with them...and not everyone can have the same time off. booo! lol. and i love the mountains! it's magical there. i always wanted to get married at disney world, until i went to gatlinburg. changed my mind within seconds of being there! plus they have ZIP-LINING! which is what i'm giving my FI as a wedding present. are you doing a sit-down or a buffet style? are you doing a full bar? signature drinks?

I feel like most everything is in place, but according to my checklist I still have 115 TO DO'S LEFT?!?!?! How is that possible? So that's definitely stressful. The main thing I'm nervous about is losing weight before the weddding. I will be so disappointed in myself if I don't lose anothe 10-15 pounds in the next 100 days :(

I am doing a hodge podge for centerpieces. We are having our reception in our backyard. We have mason jars for flowers (I added ribbon to the mason jars to make it pop a little more), we are doing red 36in balloons, we have crystal candle holders with red candles, we are having someone make us red paper hearts that we are hanging from a string in some mason jars, and I will be making more candle holders by painting tin cans and adding ribbon and crystals to match my pearl and crystal bouquet. It sounds like a hot mess but I have a vision in my head and I know it will turn out okay :)

@anglang25: yep, i think the bug spray would come in handy at both of our weddings! ours is outside - both ceremony & reception!

we're doing a buffet style meal - sit down was way too expensive for us. we're not doing a full bar either - just beer & wine. neither FI or i are big drinkers - i mostly like drinks where you can't taste the alcohol. haha!

since the vases are 5x5x5 then i would do a tall number, gives some height difference on the table. :D  and i love hydrangea's! i've been in love with orchid's and hydrangea's since i was a kid! we're going to do orchid's next to the chairs at the ceremony. i found 17 inch tall columns on clearance at hobby lobby for 1.29. granted they are chipped in spots, but it's nothing a little fabric and spray paint can't fix. we're gonna' drape some ivory fabric over the tops, and set the orchids on them. and hope that people take them home after the reception! :) and RED SHOES IT IS! :) now i just need to find some that will fit my feet. :P being tall does have it's downfalls.

@blg529: my snack tonight was chilli cheese dip and tortilla chips, two reese peanut butter cups, and a cadberry egg. Yup, that happened. I keep saying I am going to work out... in fact I am sitting here staring at my yoga mat and weights. Want to lose the weight for me? :)

we're having buffet stations, since sitdown was out of our budget. we're actually having everything all in the same spot. it's called "walden lodge" and it's a 7 bedroom cabin, with a dining hall downstairs, and the most amazing industrial kitchen. it seriously made me want to become a chef after seeing this kitchen. and the hodgepodge sounds gorgeous! i know that my spare room looks like a hot mess right now, and nobody else can see my vision but me...i feel ya'! and i wanted to do a beer & wine only, since my FI and I aren't drinkers either, but then i remembered the rest of my family is. lol. so we're doing a full bar, with a mountainy type signature drink. we haven't figured it out yet, but i was thinking something with like jack daniel's, since it's made in tennessee, and makes you feel all woodsy after drinking it. like a lumber jack.

@anglang25: oooh, good point about the tall table number holders. i LOVE orchids too! your idea sounds very pretty! good luck finding your red shoes!

@MissTata: Haha I'll try! I'm doing weight watchers meetings and I started doing Barry's Bootcamp here in LA this week. I think they have videos too for people who don't live in SoCal. It's a five day a week thing where, for an hour, you alternate between sprint intervals on the treadmill and weight training. Each day of the week targets a different muscle group. It's the hardest thing I've ever done and I pretty much want to die every time I go, but it's known for great results and there's a ton of celebrities who use it to get their hot bodies (you know, that plus great genes). Hopefully it pays off because I finished my class two hours ago and I'm still exhausted!

@anglang25: we blong to a gym but dont ever like making the drive. And we have a dog but its a minature weiner dog so she isnt extremely physically active. She likes cuddling more than going to for walks haha. Shes a sweetie. But not so good for my wedding weight.

FI and I went grocery shopping the other night. It seems like every other aisle he was creaming wedding diet at me to get me to put down the chips/cookies/ice cream...eventually he had to abbreviate it to WD to save his breathe.

@MissTatas: i just cancelled my gym membership and opted to buy a cheaper elliptical - thinking that we'd actually exercise more often if the machine was in our house. yeah, not so much. we've had it for 2 weeks and i've exercised 4 times. ugh.

you know what's not fair? FI has been LOSING weight without trying and i'm gaining! wtf?!?

@anglang25: i totally hate it! neither one of us is particularly overweight - i really just want to tone up which i think will include shedding a few lbs... it's very annoying that he loses weight/tones up so freaking easily!

@mrs.jk: i completely understand. i am over-weight. arghhhh, but since i'm tall, it kinda' portions out. lol.

@thesejoys: it will depend on your vendors. check with them, and see when they require a final headcount. if you're doing it all yourself, then send them out when you feel comfortable. i sent mine out so early because of vendors, and myself. i wanted to give myself some FREAK-OUT room in case people who i didn't think were in a relationship with anyone, decided to bring someone just so i had that extra time to make plans and accomadations for dinner for them.

@mrs.jk: I was originally hoping to send them out in early May only because I'm super anxious to get our RSVPs back - about 80% of our guests are from out of town, so it's been *really* hard to make certain decisions on the wedding planning front without knowing how many guests we will have! But for the guests, I think sending them out in June is just fine.

@thesejoys: i sent mine out this past monday, the 25th, and set june 6th as my deadline. that gives me the 7 weeks for the vendors, plus my freak-out room. :D but it is going to be different for everyone. when were you thinking of doing it?

@anglang25: getting RSVPs back at the beginning of June would have been my ideal as well - but seeing that I haven't even started on my invites yet, now I'm hoping to send them out at the end of May and set the RSVP deadline for the end of June. but we'll see what actually happens =P

@MissMargie: mine says the same thing, and i have come to ignore it. lol. i've made my own lists in my head and on my computer, and i keep checking them off. some of the stuff one those lists don't pertain to everyone. it's just a general list. so don't worry. as long as YOU know what YOU need, then you should be fine. :) i made a basic list: decorations, food, dj, groom, bride, dress, tux, cake, pastor, photographer, and marriage license. :)
