I’m an 8/7/2015 bride. How are you ladies coming along on planning? I have the big stuff out of the way- dress, DJ, Venue, Menu, centerpieces/tablescapes are picked out, STDs sent and we just decided on a invitation.  My MOH and bridesmaids are well underway with a 6/13/2015 bridal shower so we’re starting on the registries.  I am so scared I will forget something! Have you started doing your day of the wedding timelines?

I have everything planned and booked (with all deposits down). Just paying for everything bit by bit now!

That’s awesome that you have your date for your bridal shower! I have two other besties (I’m in their weddings and they’re in mine) getting married three weeks before me and another one two weeks after me. We all have to sit down and figure out our dates for bachelorettes, showers, etc!

Same! I have literally had nightmares over the past few months where a. no one showed up or b. we forgot something! Lastnight, I dreamt that we didn’t have our wedding bands so we had to get some last minute ones from a gum ball machine  AND I was like two hours late for our wedding because I didn’t plan my schedule ahead of time and was late getting makeup and hair done.

Needless to say, I started fine tuning my timeline today! LOL

Marlisle016:  I’m a little OCD and things just seem to be going too smoothly, so I’m sitting here going “what am I forgetting?!?!?!”  I will start my timelines soon.  I just am enjoying the lull at the moment. LOL.

We’re getting married on 8/7/15!  Pretty much we are at the point of just paying things off.  DJ, dress, photographer, ceremony site, reception venue, STD have all been done.  I even made my own weeding card box yesterday.  Bridesmaids are dress shopping later this month.  Materials for favors are being bought.  Invitations are pretty much done, just have to buy them, but I need to wait till I pay off my credit card from  some of these other expenses.

Work is crazy busy in July so I’m trying to get most of the major things done by June!

I’m an 8/8/15 bride too! So glad to have found some other brides on here. My friends are all single and don’t seem to want to talk/participate in any wedding planning so I need to find my “people.”

I’ve been engaged since July 2 of last year, so everything has pretty much been planned already and I’m just twiddling my thumbs. I’m glad we are closer (under 4 months away), but having a 13-month engagement is brutal for a bride. Anyone else suffering a long engagement?

I’m planning on sending invites mid-May, having my bridal showers at the end of May (May 30), bachelorette end of June. Work will be super busy June/July, which will help those months fly!

I’m an August 8th bride too! Where are you all based?  My wedding is Manchester,  UK.  You all sound so organised! I’m starting to get bad panicky moments.  Currently doing handmade invites. The stress! Never making cards again.  My wedding has a beauty and the beast “subtle”theme.  My dress arrived last week but has 2 marks on it.  Stress!!! I really did not want to be a big stresshead but it’s happened. Also unhappy with my weight.  Would love to hear about all your plans.

nikoli86:  I keep reading that DIY invites are the biggest headache! I’m in Indiana (U.S.).

I’m doing a romantic/vintage traditional wedding in a venue with a historic church and a theater in one spot (lots of stained glass, dark wood, chandeliers). I bought a Lazaro ballroom gown that’s a “buttercup” color (gives it an antique look). Colors will be seafoam and peach, so girls have seafoam-colored short J. Crew dresses and flowers will have a lot of peach/soft pink with green leaves poking through for a ‘wild’ look. Wine escort cards, seafoam, stand-up table numbers, gold accents, and a photobooth just for fun! DJ will have a drumkit, so it will be a mix of DJ and ‘live’ music. Paying a fortune for all of this, by the way!
