I have a nice dress that I wear to weddings & I am always complimented on my outfit.  It’s quite unusual, a black one shoulder dress with beaded strap & a beaded embroidered flower design on front & back. I thought about buying a new dress but it seemed silly.

The flower design is mostly red and I have red shoes and a red hair comb too.

Our rehearsal dinner is at a local pizza place. I’m probably wearing this cream lace dress that I wore for our engagement pictures and maybe a pink cardigan, if I can find one the right color.

I have a pink dress with ruffles on the front that is super cute and I have only worn once so I am going to wear that. I will probably need a cover up since the forecast is pretty cold(!?) so I am going to wear a simple black cardigan.

I’ve been trying to find a cute, affordable dress, but I keep ordering things and they look like crap on.  I don’t live near many stores and don’t have time to make the trip to the “big city” at this point.  So, I think I’ll just wear an existing dress that I really like.  One less thing to deal with!

Update!  I just ordered this cute dress from Urban Outfitters in 3 sizes, so we’ll see if one of them works.  On sale for $39, which I think ends today (was $69).

Our rehearsal dinner is actually a welcome dinner for everyone who will be around – quite a casual BBQ outside.  So this is a pretty casual dress too.

I may wear the dress I wore to my bridal shower. Is that bad? I don’t have many dresses. The only other dress I have is black and it’s my “go to” dress. I would LOVE to wear pants (even better, jeans) but I think my mother would have a heart attack if I did that.

@vorpalette:  My e-session dress was *very* similar! 🙂

I am wearing a long dress – I know it is crazy but hear me out – I found the grecian, chiffon, white dress on JCP for $60 – bought it tried it on and fit like a glove – I was determined to wear it for the actual wedding until I told my mom and sister’s – they vetoed me…’You have to wear a ‘wedding dress’ – I am not sure whatthat means except that 60 bucks is too cheap for a dress to be married in…still not sure why I listened…

So – I am wearing it for the rehearsal and everyone can suck an egg. I will dye it after the wedding so I can wear it to other events – but I am in love with it. (plus – like my wedding dress and e-session dress – it has POCKETS!) – lol

EDIT – I found of pic of me wearing the actual dress – switching out the pics 🙂 (Don’t mind my cranky face)

@suburbian:  LOVE that dress! And POCKETS. I love pockets. I tried on a wedding dress with them and loved it, but my bridesmaid and FMIL were like, “What would you put in there?” IDK, STUFF.

@vorpalette:  I *just* edited the pic 🙂

lol – I thought the same thing – but I am a pretty casual girl so I am trying to pretend I won’t have my hands in my pockets all night long!

I am probably going to wear this crazy confection, because I have no other occassion to!!  I feel like I’m almost too old to wear it now, so might as well…

Despite it not really being a “thing” in the UK, we are kind of having one. Although my OH wont be there! I plan to wear one of my knee-length type dresses. Probably. If it’s all getting stressful then I might turn up in my jeans!
