i haven’t decided either, and I need to keep my costs down. I’m planning a trip to the Asian night market soon.

You might get more responses in the Bridesmaid forum…

I haven’t decided yet. I want to do something personal for each girl… I’m just not sure what yet. The gifts probably won’t be purchased until mid-July though.

i looked to etsy and things remembered for ideas.

i was going to get a hanger for each of them with their name and then could use it for photo ops the day of as well but i ended up not doing that. from things remembered i was going to get champagne flutes so we could start off with mimosas in the morning and drink from them through out the day, or get some painted from etsy but decided not to do that either. another thing i wanted to do was custom cosmetic bags but again, didnt. lol.

what i did do from etsy is get robes for each of us to wear the day of getting ready and chose a pattern to suit each girl based on favorite colors etc. and i got a lavender sachet for their clothes drawers to keep scented from etsy as well. along with hankies that have their initial. and then im going to pay for their hair.

I purchased tiny 2″x2″ frames in wedding colors from Michaels and placed a photo of my BM with me as well inside. I also purchased a pair of shoes for each BM that I just hapened to find on clearance. I am not requiring them to wear it but I thought I’d include a pair in case they needed one. They are each receiving a pashmina in case it gets chilly, a choice of two necklaces that I picked out and I want them to wear it for the ceremony, a BM bouquet that I made using fake flowers and a few charms that relate to each individual BM, and a pretty floral ring. I am thinking of writing a thank you letter/note for everything they have done and been there for me also. I am placing these items inside a tote that had each BM’s name stitched on the side. Oh, I am also paying for their hair updo and hopefully surprising them with an optional professional make-up application.

Think of something that would be fun to have but not absolutely necessary for any part of your time spent together. Like PP said. A customized glass for mamosas in the morning while getting ready or a cute robe to wear before putting your dresses on. Or is there somethig you could provide for them that would save them some cash? Those items are always appreciated. 🙂 I hope I gave you some ideas and I hope you figure something out for your special ladies.

I got different things for each of them:

BM 1 and 2 – halfsisters – coach wristlet (my dad is paying for their whole trip out here so I didn’t get them as much as my BFFs)

BM 3 – A photobook with pictures that I took of us throughout the years and a lot from her wedding – that she has never seen. A wine cork with a ceramic pic of the seattle skyline on it.

BM 4 – She is getting married in a few months so I got her a personalized hanger, herbal lotion, and wine cork with the skyline of seattle

BM 5 – MOH – Wine cork with skyline of seattle, plaque that goes on the wall – it is totally her, reusable sandwich bags made of cloth, (she is really green and earth friendly!) and I’m going to get her makeup 60.00 on the day of the wedding so she can feel extra special getting ready with me.

I also got all of them the earrings I want them to wear.

@Jamergurl921:  Hooray for Arlington! I’m in mill creek!

I went overboard with mine I’m sure but only have 3. They all get the same thing. A grass woven tote from j crew, a custom necklace from etsy, a coach wristlet from the outlet, a jewelry roll I sewed myself, and some other little things. I’m still toying with 5.00 tank tops and some iron on letters to wear the day of!

For the wedding I am providing their jewelry, making them hangers (not personalized ones, but pretty ones for pics), and making them a clutch, (I am also most likely going to pay for my two BMs hair the day of.

For non-wedding things I am making each girl a jewelry box to present their wedding jewelry in (bought a $1 wood box at JoAnnes and burned in each girls name and a design, stained boxes, and am now in the process of finishing them up, making each girl a wrap bracelet in their favorite color, and I’m thinking of getting the two older girls (I also have 2 Jr. BM’s and a Flower Girl) something from our trip to Ireland in a month.  Although I might get the younger girls a smaller trinket as well.

I’ve got them a necklace each (as a keepsake, not to wear on the day) and I’m thinking about doing robes in their favourite colours.

I just finished my gifts today! I got them a teal seaglass necklace from Etsy, pink VS silk robes to get ready in, and I decorated some white old navy flip flops with teal ribbon and flowers! I think they will love them!

Not 100% sure yet, but I think I’ll be going to the Coach outlets and getting them each a wristlet, then putting a gift card or makeup in it.

I have been stressing over this but I think I have finally decided on what I want to get them. A Coach wristlet and then a frame with “Bridesmaid, August 5, 2012” with a picture of us from the bridal shower. Once we get pro pics back I will give them each one of the bridal party. I like the idea of a robe, if I could just find them for a good price!

I was going to take my MOH/sister for a spa day but it is sounding like my bachelorette party is going to include something similar so I am trying to think of something else special for her.

@MsJ2theZ:  Which grass woven tote did you get from JCrew?

I got my MOH a Coach tote from the outlet. Beach theme wedding found a beach themed tote! I want to get something for my FSIlL since she’s been so helpful and supportive and is planning my shower and bachelorette with my MOH but this isn’t her style. Still looking for ideas.

I think I’m going to get them each a tote to put their stuff the day of the wedding in, T-shirts with iron-on letters for the day of as we’re setting up, a individual necklace, some of their fav snacks and something fun/unqiue to them in it.  Kinda a wedding survival kit.

So far i’ve gotten them each a wristlet and will get some sort of jewelry, most likely earings and a necklace that they will wear the day of. Was thinking about throwing in some little extras like lip gloss, fingernail polish to match the dress, Make-up Setting spray, etc.
