Be careful with the micropeels. They can also be irritating and dry out your skin. I would get a facial next week, and do a good mask a couple days before the wedding. Definitely get a good mani, pedi. Maybe get one now and one in two weeks. That way your nail beds are cleaned up.
I started a little late on the beauty regimen myself. I am getting a facial tomorrow. I got a mani/pedi yesterday, and will get one closer to the wedding. I generally work out a fair amount, and for the past few months have concentrated a lot on toning upper body for my strapless gown. At home I exfoliate about once a week. And then usual stuff...sunscreen, good moisturizer etc.
I've been trying to floss daily, using Cetaphil morning and (AFTER taking off my makeup) at night and an Origins scrub twice weekly.
I'm using Boscia skincare.
Boscia mask every other day
Moisturizing
Brazillians
Running
Toning exercises
Might be doing one of those body wraps to remove water weight
I want to:
a) work out more (damn paper goods keep calling my name though, and I so enjoy them more :))
b) get a brazilian (but I'm SUPER nervous)
c) get a facial
d) remember to put on my crest whitestrips
But I'm never good at these things :)
I need to get one more haircut, I'm a little split-end-y.
I also have developed t-shirt tan lines over the summer, so I'll be trying to tan those out in my bikini outside on sunny days. (I've never been to a tanning salon and I'm afraid to start now!)
Ditto on the white strips, starting tomorrow! I have a dentist appointment three weeks from tomorrow, because I have a little spot on one front tooth where they filled in a little chip, and after the white strips it won't match any more.
I'm getting a facial this week and one more before I leave for Worcester, then I'll do a mask a couple days before the wedding. (I've found a spa that gives good facials, and I know how my skin responds to them... I'm not willing to try a new place this close!)
I'm hoping to lose 3 more pounds even though I've had my final fitting, it won't affect the fit of the dress (we can just make the corset back a bit tighter, the skirt is ball gown), and it'll get me to the goal I set a year ago.
And I'm going to try to shred every day from now until the wedding - I did it for nine days and then fell off the wagon in May, and saw a huge difference in my arms.
The biggest thing for me right now is to remember to wash my make-up off at night. I'm doing that, plus my clay mask twice a week, and this brown sugar scrub twice a week as well. My skin is looking great right now so I just want to maintain that.
Getting my hair dyed this week, trying to eat right. Threw the exercise out the window--my dress fits perfectly and I look great it in it (lucky thing I bought it in a bigger size!)
SLEEP! It's really important.
I'm trying to stick with my workout routine, and thanks for the reminder about the teeth whitening! I should get on that...
I always take good care of my skin but I am older so it is a must. I put Ester C lotion on as soon as I get up. I use a facial scrub in the shower every day. Then DHC's nanocollodial platinium milk (a booster) and followed by the corresponding cream. At night I use DHC's cleansing foam (love the stuff), DHC soothing lotion (a toner for dry skin) and retinol cream.
I am trying hard to keep exercising but with just 16 days until the end of classes AND my rehearsal, it is tough. I am at work now, on my day off in an attempt to get caught up on grading.
I am planning on getting a manicure - it will be the first one - I never had one before!
I am getting my roots touched up next week and blonde highlights put in a few days later. And that's it for me! I just can't justify spending a whole lot of money on a short ceremony and short little reception afterwards.
Crap totally forgot about my hair! I def. need a trim and possibly a highlight touch-up!
I've been getting brazillians for about 5 months now (used to before then quit due to cost/pain), increased my facial routine to include some new products, have been getting facials for the past few months (just had my second today), brow/lip waxing.. Will be getting highlights and a trim the week before the wedding... been trying to get some color/sun... trying to work out, not doing so great at that because I lack motivation... just want to tone my arms, don't want to lose any weight...
I am debating the crest whitestrips but I hate doing them.. do they make any now that u don't have to have on for a half hour?? im lazy and i always hated that part when i used to do them.. it takes forever... and is not exactly comfortable!
Has anyone done underarm waxing? Or leg?
I DIY underarm waxing. After the upper lip, it is the easiest, pain free-est wax of all. I've been doing it (myself!) for a couple of years and haven't been at all tempted to go back to shaving. :)

I recently stepped back from RSVPs and table arrangements and realized I have totally been ignoring my beauty routine! I'm pretty sure my skin has suffered for it too. I'm trying to get going on a few things for the home stretch -
- philosophy micro peel 2x/week
- getting some tone at the gym (thank goodness the dress is fitted so losing weight is off the table!)
- using my crest whitestrips every day
any other suggestions? what are other August brides doing to get ready?
