Hi ladies! I will also be wearing Augusta Jones Jessie too, just the no bead version. I ordered a split size 4 on top and 6 on bottom, so i am hoping I wont experience the bunching problem. It arrives in April! I did not order the belt ($800!!!!). I'm curious what the belt that is included with the dress looks like?
@hbean: are you sure this is the Jessie? It looks like the Jayma, which is the one I tried on. Im in between the two, so can you clarify it for me?
@ifheaven: Thanks soo much :) I am not too sure yet. I figure I would see how my first fitting goes especially since the sample sizes might not fit exactly the same. Are you an Augusta Jones bride too?

I guess it is the Jayma! Thanks ladies for correcting me! I'm even a little more tickled that it will come in as more of a mermaid shape! @flavinha_maki I think they are correct That it is Jayma. On closer look the lace is different and the shape is more form fitted.
I didn't order a belt yet, the one in the photo is $800 frm Lazaro! I can't wait to see what you pick @sofiekitty and @kathrynm75 !
@sofiekitty: Hey girl! I think I saw our dress on Say Yes to the Dress on TLC last night. I am not sure though because they didn't say who the designer was but I got excited haha.
Beautiful dress ladies. This has got to be one of the most gorgeous lace dresses I've seen.
My Jessie comes into the bridal shop on 31st Jan - very exciting!!

@Fsunicole: OMG you look stunning!! I am so relieved because looking at your photos, I now see that the Jessie photographs incredibly well! It looks gorgeous!!! I am going for my first alterations appointment this Saturday and I can hardly wait!! Any advice on how you solved the pointy cup issue would be much appreciated. Did you remove the boning? I have a feeling my salon will tell me I'm crazy and that they don't look pointy. But they do!! I also would love to know what you did for your bustle because it looks great. @vesnushka: I had a small bout of dress regret when the Jessie first came in and it fit me all wrong. But no, I've since come around and decided to get it altered to fit just right so I am not selling it anymore. I don't know if I was ever really serious about selling it anyways. I guess I wanted to see if it was even a possibility to sell it for a good price. I need to take that listing down.
Augusta Jones Jessie was a contender for me, I ended up going with Watters Hollywood because it had some different touches to it. Here is me in the Jessie! It is a stunning gown and you brides all look gorgeous in it.
@Fsunicole: Omg!!! You look amazing!! I am sooo nervous to get me jessie dress in. I cant believe I have to wait until June to do my fitting. I honestly love that dress on you!!! What were the major problems you had when the dress first came in?

As for planning and decor, we are moving toward a lot of pink and gold! For table decorations, we are planning to do lots of pink flowers, mercury glass candle sticks (like the phot below), and mercury glass votives.

We just did our table numbers too! We bought a DIY kit on Etsy and then assembled and painted them ourselves!
We are even getting a pink and gold cake like this!

@sofiekitty: Omg I love it!! Well so far I just made the wedding date official today. 11/2/13 at Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. Now I can seriously start planning. You will have to follow me on Pinterest too! i love that app. I am on it all day. I dont have much so far though but it all depends on what the vendors can do for me. @kathrynm75: Not so much yet....So far we just have the gold table numbers (but you can always re-paint them another color) and another wooden sign that says "Love" that would be cute for the guest table or something. We are going to get a ton of hanging glass candle holders w/ crystal drops and stuff like that. But yeah, after I post wedding pics you can just let me know if there's anything you might want :)
Ok ladies, I finally had my alterations appointment and it went really well! But WOW it's going to be EXPENSIVE!! The standard alterations (bustle, bodice taken in, hem) are already $500 at my salon and since I'm doing a shape change (mermaid) and also changing the bust and back slightly, it's even MORE money. I feel a bit guilty spending this much on alterations but now it's going to be the dress of my dreams and it's everything I ever dreamed of! I also splurged on a sash! I was going to buy one from Etsy but I found one yesterday that I fell in love with. They are going to sew it onto the dress like shown in the pics. The last pic is to show the type of bustle I'm going to have done - the French! I am in LOVE!! Now let's just hope the seamstress delivers! She seems really great though, and understood exactly what I wanted.

@ifheaven: Thanks!! No, I chose not to do the petticoat. I like the way it just flows down nicely. The belt is so gorgeous but it looks a bit dark in the photos....it's actually sheer so you can see the dress through it!
