I’ve fallen in love with the ‘Juno’ dress but hardly anywhere close by stocks it and the only size I’ve been able to find is a 12 which is too small for me to try on. Can anyone give me any advice on the shape/fit of this dress – I’d probably need an 18. Am still losing weight and have dropped almost 3 dress sizes but have to order my dress by the end of this month and am too scared to order without trying on! Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated.

@hymnsandarias: This was before alterations – shortening etc – you see where they needed to pinch in the neckline a bit to sit nicer with my breasts, and then the only alterations was the modesty panel – which was more of a “just incase” alteration because the next time I would try it on was the week before the wedding. There was some shortening as well. I’m a british size 18 and had 36GG boobs. I’m a classic hourglass. I had a modesty panel fitted in. I got a great bra from Marks and Spencers to wear with it (I will look up the style if you want). I PM’d you when I saw your post, but then realise that you are on the verge of ordering. The support in this dress was fantastic and I felt so beautiful!
The inhouse tailor of the bridal shop made that bolero for me as I didn’t want to show my arms.

@Cariad: Thanks so much for all the info – it’s nice to see how it fits on a ‘normal’ size person! You look amazing and the dress seems to fit beautifully. I’ve managed to get an appointment to try a size 14 on just to get some idea of the look so we’ll have to wait and see how that goes. Thanks again, your help has been much appreciated.

@hymnsandarias: Oh one other tip! Get it on OVER your head. The waist is great on the dress, but it does make it a bit difficult to get over your bottom (well mine anyway…). Another thing I did was sit down in the dress, bend over etc… to see how it moved (that’s why we did the alterations around the boobs).
I love this dress so much and I know you will absolutely love it too! Juno is the goddes of marriage – which I took as a very good sign! Have fun and post a sneaky pic for me to see!
