You should for sure look into mansion at judges hill!
It's down town on rio grande and it is beautiful!
It has a courtyard that you can get married in if you choose and the grand ballroom has floor to ceiling windows on the west wall. unfortunately there are no good photos of this on their website.
A loft type area.. I'm not sure of many, but I do know that this is loft-like. http://palmdoor.com/

Also, you may look into restaurants or bars. There's a ton of those that are more "loft like" than wedding venues here in Austin. Most places are more country or grand. I didn't come across too many modern looking lofts, but I wasn't looking for that with my wedding. I love the Palm Door though! It's perfect for a downtown loft feel.

I've been on the hunt like a mad-woman trying to find places that are reasonably priced, as well as not too far off the beaten path for our out-of-town guests.
I've found about 3 places that are really nice & not too bad in price (Terrace Club, Hamilton Twelve, The Outlook); but I'd really like to find a loft-type area for our wedding...
When we were thinking about having it in Dallas, there were so many affordable loft spaces to choose from, but it seems that Austin doesn't have any...
