That's actually less than what I'm used to paying! It's super cute! My BMs paid $178 and I just had to buy two for other weddings that cost $190 and $114 (it was on sale from $170).
Pretty decent especially if it is rewearable. My DB dresses have cost me $135 and $185. And I sure won't be wearing either of them again lol.
I bought my bridesmaids dresses for $82 on sale at davids bridal for both my bridesmaid and maid of honor; I think you can find cheaper if you look hard
$130 for a dress I think is pricey but that's just me I always find bargains and sales and it looks just as good
I would be pretty content with $130, considering how pricey bm dresses are. Anything over $150 i start going "eek" about.
But, I think a lot of it depends on the dress. I had no issue spending $200 on a black cocktail dress from Black White House Market b/c I KNEW I'd always wear it. I think my issue is "can i wear it again"....and if it's no, then I feel like the price always hurts more.
I'm kind of a cheapskate though. But then again, Ann Taylor dresses are typically go-everywhere kind of dresses, right?
Since you want knee length black cocktail dresses, here are some I love! The black one i LOVE is $178 which is likely more than you want them to spend but it's got the cutest ruffly skirt ever! The ones below are about the same price, so it's about average!
Go to Dillards.com or Macys, too!
I think 200-250 is average based on my experience and what I am seeing for my maids. That's a good price, especially for a multi-function dress!
I think $130 is perfect especially because it looks like it can be worn to another event. I have paid anywhere from $145 to $400 for a BM dress. Everything is relative though.
I am the same as mermaid, from my experience the dresses were around $200+ and we shopped around tons!
the dresses we ended up getting were $260 I think, which I know is alot! (and if anyone knows from previous posts - I HATE THEM!)
I think $130 is a great price (ovbiously in comparison to mine)
Yeah, that's a great price! My maids' dresses were $216, and I thought that was pretty reasonable, since most of the dresses I saw were more than $250.
Great price. I have worn two alfred angelo dresses for around that price, wore a siri dress for like 200 and my bms are wearing after six for 160.
I'd say $130 is a great price. From what I've spent, anything under $200 is great.

I was able to get this Ann Taylor Bridesmaid Dress for about $130.
Is that a good buy? If any one else knows of cute knee-length black dresses that would be appropriate for a June wedding, send them my way.
Thanks!
