Though this shop is small, and most of you are not from Minnesota – I wanted to put it out there anyway.
Our Shop is located in Stillwater MN and though they have quite a nice selection they are a very small overpriced shop which they over book and double book, rush you around and never focus entirely on you oryour party.
They measured all my girls incorrectly & over their clothing and wanted my largets BM in a dress 3 sizes smaller then one of my medium sized BM’s and upon being remeasured properly and comparing the the size chart for the dress company they would have ordered her a dress much too small for her.
Needless to say, as my girls were very worried about the out come of this I got the money refunded to them, since they didn’t actually place the order yet (waiting on the last BM to call in her size) it worked out ok.
I’m not going to find a cheaper dress at a different location and all is well 🙂 Just be mindful if you ever happen upon the store!

Thanks for the heads up!
For others in Minnesota, I had a pretty bad time at The Wedding Shoppe on Grand Avenue in St. Paul. I think it’s a hit or miss though since my sister-in-law had a great experience there. I’m in Rochester though, and I have had a wonderful experience so far with Mestad’s.
We should have our own little BBB on this site! 🙂

Hey MN gals! Nice to find some people that aren’t in NY and CA here. 😉 I had a great experience at The Wedding Shoppe and ordered my dress there last Thursday. I agree with the mixed reviews though–I have another friend that loved it and got her dress there and yet another that had a bad experience. Not sure what the deal is. I wish they allowed pictures–I thought their reason was bs. That was the only negative about them IMO.
I did venture down to Rochester to visit Mestad’s too though because I wanted to check out what they had from Pronovias. I’d say the experiences were similar–they both had a staff person totally dedicated to me. It felt like the experience I should have had at every bridal shop. 🙂 I haven’t had to work on bridesmaids yet though, so we’ll see. Just an FYI for other plus size women out there–I had a very frustrating time at "normal" bridal shops. The Wedding Shoppe had tons of dresses because they have a women’s section (!) but I also want to plug a shop that opened recently called Rubenesque Bridal (website: http://www.rubenesquebridalgowns.com/). They work by appointment only, one client at a time. They have limited dresses but wow, at least I could try them ALL on! 🙂
