@Pinkmoon:  ME!  But only up to about $250 I think.  haha.  Oh well!  That’ll pay off a good chuck of what is still on there!  🙂

@Pinkmoon:  My venue required a CC, it’s the easiest way for them to make sure they get paid everything if alcohol or something goes over the estimate.  No points for DH and I because my parents covered that cost, but we got quite a few points from most of the other expenses.  Things add up quickly!

Yes– our venue requires our final payment to be by credit card, so that is going to be a lot of money to spend on amazon! 🙂

@Pinkmoon:  I’m sure we will put our reception on a credit card and get miles on it but also we are using our Mlife Card and will level up a few times and look like high rollers in Vegas!

That’s awesome, you lucky goose!  If I were to do that on my cash back card it probably wouldn’t do me much good because I think there’s a limit but I’d put it on my travel rewards card for sure!

I’m actually planning to open a new credit card with a decent sign up bonus once the final balances are due – nice little incentive on top of the points. 🙂

@ChicFoodist:  If you want the cash back you can usually request a temporary increase, or else just have a positive balance on the card before it’s charged.

Yes!!  I recently opened a United Airlines credit card account because you get enough free miles for 1 plane ticket just for qualifying and spending $1,000 in 3 months!  Needless to say I had no problem hitting that.  Smile In addition, we’ve gotten 1 mile for every $1 spent.  Working to at least get 2 free plane tickets for the honeymoon!!

@AB Bride:  Hm, I’m going to have to take a better look at my policy!  I don’t ever carry a negative balance, but I always thought there was a max amount they’ll give cash back on…I’m going to check it out. 🙂

Congrats! That’s awesome! 🙂 Any plans for where you’ll take a trip with the points?

@ChicFoodist:  Oh, sorry, I thought you meant just meant your credit limit.  Yeah, some have reward limits too.  It doesn’t hurt to double check though.  Your venue might also allow you to split the payment between 2 cards.
