Does anyone have any suggestions for AWESOME wedding bands in Cleveland. I want it to be classy, but I want to dance floor to be packed the whole night. Anyone ever see the band Redline? Any thoughts? Or any other suggestions? I've been out of the Cleveland scene for a while, so anything will help! Thank you!

I made a special trip to see Grand Avenue Band live after MANY suggestions.  I was VERY disappointed in them.  I don't know if it was the equipment or if it was the band, but the vocalists were WEAK and were difficult to distinguish over the rest of the band.  Also, they do not have a percussionist and all "drum" beats are done via synthesizer.  One guy in the band plays a multitude of instruments including sax, flute and the occasional conga drum.  He was impressive, but I was left unimpressed by the rest of the band

For the price, I am looking at several much better bands for the same price or only a few hundred $ more that are 9 or so pieces(instead of just 6), include a percussionist, a horn section, and strong vocals.  Also, I didn't have an excellent experience with their booking manager.  She was very pushy and rude to me.  Indicating that my "two week hold" on the band had expired and she needed to know whether or not I was going to book them immediately.  This would have been completely fine by me (this is the way a lot of vendors work), however, she had never once indicated through any of my previous communication with her that we would have a "two week hold".

Overall I thought they were overrated.

Try looking at some Jerry Bruno bands or Special Production bands.  I have enjoyed them much more.

I was very nervous about the band my dad chose for our wedding but they turned out to be PHENOMENAL!!! They are called Driven http://drivenlive.com/home.cfm

I HIGHLY recommend them! Our dance floor was packed the entire night and people still keep telling us how much fun they had at our wedding and what a great band Driven was. They are a relatively newer band (~2-3 years old) but all members came from different cleveland bands. I really can't say enough good things about them. They play a little bit of everything and really know how to get the guests on the dance floor!!! Our wedding was so much fun!

Old post, figured I'd answer anyway since I believe everyone has the same questions.

We booked Special Blend after much debate. We want young and old to feel comfortable dancing. They are the perfect mix. The agent is very nice.

I also really like run avril run. We saw them and danced all night. Run Avril Run plays at bars around town, so she is easy to go check out, without crashing a wedding.

Good Luck to all the brides! I found band selection very difficullt
