Wow! We want to go to this old resort in Acapulco, but our budget is probably more California Redwoods. We'll see if anyone parental wants to gift us a trip...!
www.cheapcarribean.com will be your best friend! My cousin in NY swears by it every winter and we were going to use it when we thought we were going to the carribean.
@emilymuchnikoff Have you or your cousin every actually booked through cheapcarribean.com? I have noticed their packages are MUCH cheaper than most internet travel sites, and it makes me skeptical. Just wondering if anyone has actually used it and can give some credibility? Cuz if so, I'm booked! :)
Yeah would be good to know if anyone has experience with cheapcaribbean.com because we were looking on there. I've used Apple Vacations before and they are legit but not cheapcaribbean.
LOL and I only call it a "mini"moon because we're planning two weeks in Thailand/Cambodia next year but need to save up $$$ for that, so comparatively it is mini. We would so totally be going to Niagara Falls or something easier/cheaper if they weren't paying!
Kittyachi- I booked our weddingmoon through cheapcaribbean.com. I kept checking the prices on all the sites including bookit and cheapcaribbean came up cheaper every time. I called and spoke to one of their reps to book it because I felt more comfortable that way. We got a great deal for Secrets Maroma Beach.
Cheap caribbean does have good prices..second that! Let the parents see the site..they might see the savings and even give a longer minimoon!

FI just called and said his parents want to pay for our minimoon! They said if we wanted to do like 4 days all-inclusive in the caribbean somewhere that they will pay for it.
This day just got a hell of a lot better. I get to look at vacation packages tonight when I get home and ACTUALLY get to book something soon. Woo hoo!
