No off season or day. Saturday in October. The guy was just really excited because he's wanted to do a Halloween wedding forever.

Wow, he's essentially paying you... because there is no way he's making a dime. Congrats, that's quite the steal! Just make sure to treat him extra well because that's all he'll receive at the end of the day :-)

Holy Crap! That is insain.. Congrats to you for sure. Being a wedding photographer myself I can tell you that he is not making a dime, infact he is paying for part of your photography for you. Make sure you have seen his work to begin with so that he is a good quality and has plenty of experience. I have seen too many people be excited about how much money they save and then see the photos and all the things they get aren't worth the amount they saved.
Is your wedding a halloween theme?
His work is amazing and I've talked to 2 other couples he's worked for. All have had rave reviews. He has exactly the artistic style that I like. The package he gave me is worth about $4000 normally.
It's a vintage theme on Halloween with some Halloween and nerdy elements thrown in. It's more.... Halloween-inspired. He was really excited to work for me. I dunno. I didn't even haggle. He wrote down a list of what I wanted and I asked him how much. That's what he said.
I also agreed to do some makeup work for an engagement shoot their doing next week for free. It's Rocky Horror themed.
