Lucky! LOVE LOVE LOVE orchids to say the least. They made up my bouquet, cake decor & centerpieces. My mother also just bought me some potted ones for Valentine's Day :)
My first bouquet after getting married were a dozen white roses I bought myself last weekend. I totally overpaid for them too because of today's holiday, which is totaly not like me at all (I'm very frugal). Told DH not to get me flowers for VDay- just dark chocolate!
I love it!
Last night DH gave me my first "married" bouquet of roses. This is our third Valentine's Day together, and it's our first Valentine's Day as a married couple. He's going to be home in about 20 minutes and the champagne is chilled and we are going to snuggle down at home. I love, love, love that we are not just girlfriend/boyfriend anymore. Woo!

I just came home to a beautiful, tropical arrangement (I love orchids!!). :) I never thought DH would pony up for flowers now that we are married. He used to send them all the time - but, after our engagement (and crazily saving for the wedding) and then in our marriage - he hadn't sent any. Even this past Christmas, he presented me with jewelry and said he hadn't been wanting to send flowers because he was saving up for the present! I'm pretty sure these are "anti-Valentine's Day" flowers (he always says "why do I need a holiday to buy you flowers" - an the flowers arrive shortly before Feb 14th - haha. :)
