I just saw the latest Axe commercial where she asks her friend to “smell my finger.” WTH!? I can’t stand them, at first I thought they were funny, but now they’re just stupid. I guess that’s what they’re going for.

Have you seen the one about ‘clean balls’. It’s so gross!

@peaches1038: I just saw the “clean balls” one today and I almost had to do a double take because I was on the treadmill and not paying much attention. I couldn’t believe it!

@msgiraffe: My husband LOVES those Old Spice commercials. First I didn’t see that appeal and then they grew on me. After reading a couple interviews with the guy on the horse I like them even more : http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/gossip/2010/02/isaiah-mustafa-old-spice-commercial.html

That guy from the Old Spice commericials is going to be a “guest speaker” at one of our events. Or perhaps he already has – it was for a fundraiser we were doing at work in another province! lol

Unilever owns Axe. When people purchase any Unilever product, they are funding the advertising for the Axe commercials. If you want to make an impact on the company that owns Axe, don’t purchase any Unilever products; their advertising dollars will then get cut.
Uniliver Products List:
Becel; Blue Bonnet; Knorr (MSG is in Knorr products); Hellmans, Ben & Jerry; Breyer, Brooke Bond; BRU; I Can’t Believe it’s Not Butter; Imperial; Klondike; Lipton; Popsicle; Ragu; Red Rose; Salada; Skippy; Slim-Fast; Vim; AXE, Degree, Dove; Lever 2000; Ponds; Q-tips; Suave; Sunsilk; Vaseline.
We have a right to let the company know we don’t appreciate their stupid commercials and we aren’t going to support them.
