Has anyone gotten this done?? Im really interested if it helps your nails at all.. I love the fact that its not suppose to chip... but Im curious if it strengthens your nails or would your nails still peel underneath or during the removal process?

I believe that gel nails destroy your nails just like acrylics.  Especially since you have to soak your nails in acetone to remove gel nails, just can't be good for your nails.

I' ve had it done, and I really really liked the outcome.  They are slightly thicker than a regular manicure, but they don't have the same "fake" look.  When they removed mine, my nails were slightly damaged, but with a little bit of nail care, they looked as good as new.  They really didn't chip, and I had mine on for about 3 weeks (honestly, I could have kept them on longer).  Now, I'm doing Shellac, which is similar, but I like the look better.  They are glossier and they help keep my nails from breaking.

Basically any nail polish will weaken your nails.  Your nails need to breathe, and when you have polish on (or gel nails, or acrylics), they can't breathe.  Especially when you have it on for 3+ weeks.  So yes, your nails will be weak and damaged, depending on your nail tech.  For Axxium to be applied, they're supposed to file your nails a little bit, so it does some damage.  For Shellac, they only buff them gently so it's less damage.  I've only had Shellac but my nails don't look great when I get it taken off.  It really depends on the person though...I have weak nails anyway, so I think my issue is just made worse by fake nails.

I got them 2 weeks ago for my wedding.  They look great! and really doesn't chip.  but my nails grow fast so after the first week you can see the edge.  I haven't taken them off yet and I'm really afraid.  It sounds really complicated.
