Lol! Addie regularly calls new people "dog," or tells them to "stop." I find it really funny, but try to hold in my laughter when she does it in public. Most people are pretty forgiving, though. :)

A few weeks ago I was over at a friend's house with her 3 week old son. They had finally gotten comfortable with breastfeeding and apparently he wanted to demonstrate just how good he was at it because he kept mouthing at my boob! I mean, like he was really going to town. He left a wet spot on my shirt! I kept trying to give him back to his mom but she'd be like "oh, he's fine. I just fed him." Um, ok.
Needless to say, my husband and my friend's husband were quite amused :)
Haha thanks, we think she's cute too, most people take it in stride but you can see some people are really surprised at vampire baby.
@Mrs. Spring: Oh man, when the squeaks are actual words....we're in trouble.
@twodoghouse: I had a bday when baby was 3 weeks old and she did the same thing, tried to nurse from everyone male or female. People were like she's starving, I'm like she just sucks. Haha, not sucks in a bad way but that she just will constantly want to suckle on something and my MIL kept taking away her pacifier so it meant she tried to suckle on people.
haha. my daughter will be 4 months old on the 25th and comes with the same warning label!
but she's also notorious for spitting up her whole bottle, all over you. and everyone always turns down the spit rag. "oh no, she won't spit up on me! she loves me!"
i can assure you love has nothing to do with her reflux. :)
Haha thats hilarious. Its always a tad awkward when someone elses baby starts rooting and nuzzling your chest looking for food. Its even more hilarious when babies try to do it to men!

@sunshine_kar: Hilarious! People do always reject the spit rag, I've noticed the same thing, it's like they think they're being namby pambys if they take it.
babies are too cute... I have one kid in my class at church who is now in the phase where she just yells no at you constantly.. You say hello and she responds with a big fat NO but the cutest smile the same time.
Babies are so cute .... even with their "rudeness". It's endearing. :)

My sisters 2 wk old son will suckle on anyone or anything as well, he is definitely a comfort sucker so anyone's face, finger, arm, chest - but he's so dang cute!!
Seriously, what an extremely rude baby! Haha! I love them at that age. So much fun!

I actually get a kick out of it when people reject the receiver, even when I say "She just ate, and will probably spit up on you" and they say 'oh, no, I don't mind!'. Then she spits up and I hear "Oh my goodness, she spit up on me, Mommy!" I just say "Yep." :)
oh gosh, that is adorable. funny how things like this just make me want one more...

So my little girl is just turning 4 months and she's at a really fun age and people always want to hold her. But she should come with a warning that she has no social graces and may:
attempt to teeth on your shoulder or neck like a vampire baby
attempt to unbutton your shirt or just pull on it while she tries to nurse from you
get very excited and practice talking, which is a high pitched squeak and usually is directed right at your ear (or sometimes eyeball)
use her new hand skills to pinch your skin or pull your hair/necklace/blousy shirt
fall asleep and drool profusely all over you
