Are you actually going to be putting the pictures in the book, or are you just making blank pages so the mom can put pictures in later?

Here are some ideas:

  • First visitors
  • Coming home
  • First outing
  • First bath
  • Tummy Time
  • 1 page for each month with a spot for a picture?  (1 month, 2 months, etc)
  • Favorite toys
  • Sleepy Time (sleepign pictures of babies are so cute!)

Mine had a page for all the “firsts” — first word, first haircut (my mom saved a piece of hair from my first one… kinda gross, and kinda cool haha), first steps, date they eat their first “real” food, first doctor visit, first vacation, first birthday, etc.  If there’s something unique that the family does together (camping, museums, road trips… whatever) include a spot for that to make it more personal.

You could also include a family tree to write in names of grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins, etc.  You could do the thumbprint leaves too.

Include lots of pages with spots for pictures and maybe make up a bunch of fun, generic, captions that they can glue on next to the pictures as they add them.

Cute idea!  They will love it!

Another idea…. include a page about what was going on in the world the year they were born.  Biggest hit songs, movies that came out, significant world events, who was president/vice president, etc.
