    So I never used my moses basket, the bumbo chair, or the boppy. I was told these were MUST HAVES, but DD never liked any of them.

    Anyone else?

    I never used the "nose sucker upper" (sorry not sure what it is called), baby nail clippers, bassinet, or the frozen teething rings.

    @flamingred:

    Granted, I don't have a baby yet but when bottle feeding my nieces and nephews *I* loved using the boppy for my back! Made bottle feeding much more comfortable. :)

    @flamingred: I never used a Bumbo chair for either one of my girls. I did use a boppy though when breast feeding.

    Sadly I dont know what any of those things are, what is a boppy and bumbo chair ? I'm guessing a moses basket isnt an actual basket that you put the baby in?

    @bells:

    This is a boppy. Some moms are able to put there baby in the curve when they are old enough to hold their own bottles. Also it's great for putting around your waist for lower back support. Or curve towards the back so that the curve is on your lap so that your arms are elevated during feeding.

    I'm def registering for one of those. I loved using them when my nieces and nephews were babies!

    @bells: A moses basket is actually a basket that the baby sleeps in. They call it that since it reminds you fo the biblical story.

    A bumbo is supposed to help the little one support itself once it is able to sit up on it's own. It is a foam chair that you sit them in.

    And @regberadaisy: explained the boppy.

    EDIT: DH and I had never seen the bumbo and my goddaughter's mother sent it with us. He thought it was for the bathtub...I thought he was off his rocker...turns out he was wrong and we never used that thing anyway...lol.

    I gave away my Boppy because I only used it like twice, ever.  I also never used the bottle warmer we got because it took too long.  :)

    Oh yeah, we returned out bottle warmer too. As for the boppy-it was comfy, but it was just too much trouble for me to get situated while I was nursing. Haha.

    My nephews loved their moses baskets-it just depends on your child I guess.

    Man, I love my boppy! Not just for nursing, but for letting her chill out on my lap while I work on the computer on the couch. I never used those little mittens to keep her from scratching her face. She just never scratches herself.

    i never use my brest friend breastfeeding pillow. i got both the brest friend and a boppy as baby shower gifts and like the boppy soooo much more. it's much easier to pop on and off and can be used for tummy time or as a regular pillow/prop-upper/etc. i use it alll the time.

    i never use half of the baby toiletries i got. little did i know that not only do newborns not need to be bathed that often, once they do start needing baths they don't need lotion, powder (the perfumes in baby powder can actually be harmful), creams etc. until they're mobile, warm water and a little gentle soap is enough. and at 11 weeks, my son hasnt had any diaper rashes so all the diaper cream and Butt Paste has gone untouched. it's still early so i might use it later :)

    I used my boppy then I was breastfeeding, but when I switched to formula I stopped b/c she has to sit upright when I feed her. And she's too much of a wiggle worm to actually just sit there happily and chill now, she has to keep moving.

    She doesn't use her front to back swing, she doesn't like it. We ended up buying a cradle swing instead. What a waste of money!

    I agree the baby products are a waste.  We got a ton of travel sized products that I have never used!

    The baby swings were great for about a month.  Then she outgrew them and they were a big waste of space.

    The floor mats and stuff for "tummy time" were a waste too.  DD hated tummy time.  She'd rather hang out on a comforter than a little square thing with bobbles in her face.

    Bouncers.  Waste.  Hardly used them, DD didn't like them.

    Baby oil.  OMG what am I supposed to do with the billion ounces of baby oil we now have??  Condition the cutting board??
