Southern California is usually a great winter trip. Maybe visit Disneyland?

wrkbrk:  We’re doing this same thing! We’re flying from STL to Cabo (direct flights, we’re going W-M) in early January, and staying at an adults only all-inclusive. I am so excited! Our other options were a 3-4 day cruise from New Orleans or Ft. Lauderdale. We go on a trip every January (have to get out of the snow!) and usually do cruises.

wrkbrk:  Your plan sounds very much like mine. We are taking a mini-vacation next week F-T trip to southern California. We are going to Universal Studios just because I’ve been to Disneyland a few times.  You can probably find many things to do there. We are going to be celebrating my mother’s birthday as well.

Also, I live in south Texas and the weather is not too bad during the winter. Downtown San Antonio turns on the Christmas lights after Thanksgiving until early January, and it’s very pretty. They have tons of restaurants and events going on.

wrkbrk:  We’re going on Southwest since we’re using free miles!

We’ve been to Cabo, Dom. Rep., and Bahamas in December/January. All were great! Also, south Fl.  Idk about flights though because we fly out of ATL on delta so we have a ton of options.
