Does anyone else have that dream baby name they can’t get out of their head? I find myself writing it down repeatedly like I used to with my first name and DH’s last name before we were married. We’re still 2-3 years away from TTC so it’s not that I want a baby…just the name. Does that make sense? Anyone else in love with a baby name and can’t stop daydreaming about it?…and secretly hoping that if you still love it by the time you do get pregnant DH doesn’t absolutely hate it? If so feel free to daydream here, share your fave name, or just call me crazy. (Please don’t call me crazy) 🙂

Although we are about 1-2 years out from TTC, we decided on Madison Marie (to keep Marie going in the family as a middle name on both sides) and Trystin Phillip (Phillip being my husband’s name). I love a lot of girls’ names, but if I were to have all boys, I wouldn’t have the first clue! I only have one baby boy name in mind.
Luckily DH agrees on the baby names. If we have twins of the same gender, we will be having a hard time naming the second child, I do know that 🙂

I love the name Ariana Grace for a girl. We can’t agree on a boy’s name.

Sure. I think most people at least think about their future kids names before they TTC. DH and I have quite a list but our girls name is already set in stone (so much so that I threatened my BIL with bodily harm if they end up having another baby and use the name before we can). Our hypothetical daughter will be Fiona Michelle (middle name may change but first is a keeper). As for boy names, we have 5 names that we like equally as much so who knows how that’ll turn out.

we have a name that started out as a joke but every time we refer to our future son as that name, it sounds more right. last check i was only 40% kidding about naming our son this name and FI was only 20% kidding. i am not going to share it, but i will say its not an awful made up name so no worries, babybostongirl27 won’t have a miserable childhood!
for girls we toss around names now and then, but we both like the idea of incorporating my mom’s name in somehow.

@UpstateCait: LOVE Fiona! I may have to adopt that into my hypothetical girls’ list… I’ve never been involved with coming up with girl names because I want a boy!
For the past 15 years, I’ve loved the name Devin Thomas. I’ve been trying to convince Dh that it’s a nice name, but he’s not convinced …yet. Although I’m not sure I like the spelling “Devin” but I suppose it’s phonetics that matter most. I just don’t want people swapping letters to make him “Devil.”

@bostongirl27: We have a jokey-girls name too! (Edited for privacy) I asked him if we could have a girl and name her, so that her name could be the same if said forwards and backwards. He laughed, but then we got really sad that we can’t really name her (that name).

We have a list of names – 3 for boys 3 for girls to choose from. Just in case.

I have no idea for a boys names but for a girl I love Brooklynn, not sure on middle name yet either. I went through a stage where I loved Adrianna as well, it goes in cycles!

@bostongirl27: We have a similar situation.. we always joked that we would name our daughter Carling.. and now we kinda like it! hahahaha
We’re not TTC for another 2 years but this time around he will choose the girls name and me the boys.. He always said he liked Quinn, but Carling is definitely a possibility! For boys I like Nash and Julian. 🙂

Grayson Matthew for a boy and Bryn Harper for a girl

I like Gavin or Jonathan for a boy or Amy for a girl. I like more conventional names.

@StuporDuck: hahaha that would be pretty cool to have a palindrome-esque name! my mom had a friend who was obsessed with the name neil (big neil young fan) and almost wouldnt go on a second date with a guy because his last name was neal and shed never get to name her son neil if they hit it off…. well, they did and thankfully she did not name her son neil neal.
@fineapplewine: i love the name julian! i think carling is cute! i know if we end up using our name, we’ll get some guff from friends, but the name has major meaning for us so if we have a son and he comes out looking like that’s his name, so be it!

Yes we have one girl name yet we can not agree on a boy’s name yet.
