Congratulations on the boy!!! Team blue will be so happy to have a new member :) I love all the names that you have on your list, but I think I like Liam and Blake the best... Though Hunter does go really well with your last name!
I love the name Hunter it seems like such a strong solid name for a boy!
I picked Blake because I had a cat named Blake and have always been fond of the name. Your last name is so easy to fit with various names...any of these sound nice! I'd probably skip Drew though or name him Andrew because I don't really care for nicknames as first names.
Hunter is actually one of my boy names! My DH is an AVID outdoorsman and its sutch a rustic name and he loves it! Its either Hunter or Logan which is the name of the town we got married in. I really like liam too but Hunter is my fav of the group.
I'm partial to the name Blake because my SIL just gave birth to a baby boy named Blake! But I love the names Liam and Hunter too. Not a big fan of Drew because I think of Drew Carey...
Ooooohhhh, baby names! How did I miss this! Sorry, I'm a name nerd lol. I voted Liam bc I like the name, it's not too trendy/average-sounding/nouveau-riche, and I think it goes well with your last name. Plus I think Liams are always cute. :)
I really like Liam too but I think Blake Crowley rolls off the tounge so nicely.
I love Liam. But where I live there are Liams and Ethans and Angus popping up everywhere. To me all very strong celtic names, but all very over used these days.
So I chose Hunter. It was the next one that popped out at me.
I think Blake is very common.... so I wouldn't choose that one. Hunter is also common. I teach PreK and we have at least 6 or 7 Blakes at our school. I love Liam, that got my vote.
Liam has my vote! Congrats! I'm not a fan of Blake, since combined with Crowley, it doesn't really flow together. Hunter is my nephew's name and it seems to be a popular one out there right now.
I knew this really annoying guy named Liam- it is amazing how much that affects how you feel about a name- who you have known by it-
@cbee and texas: I've been working with kids for the past 5 years while going to high school/college. There are so many names I have to cross off my list because I can't stand the child I associate the name with!
I wasn't sure what to pick. Is there a reason you've picked two names that are half of other names? (William shortens to Liam, Andrew shortens to Drew.)
I guess I would pick Blake of what's left. I don't really like first names that should really have stayed last names, like Hunter.
I picked Liam mostly because I thought it suited your surname better - all the names are great I think, very strong male names. I don't think of Drew as being short for Andrew as I've known several Drews (none of whom were named Andrew). Ditto Liam, I've never heard that it is short for William although of course it makes sense. But every William I know gets called Will, and I've never met a Liam where it was short for William!
its interesting to do a poll - do you want a name that is popular (everyone loves it) or something more unique? Names are SO personal. I love your whole list, I think there are good ones on there....know Liam is on the rise in terms of popularity . With your last name I like the ring of Blake and Hunter :)
@babyboo- yeah, right? I know someone I really liked with my "name-for-a-boy-someday-" name- and it definitely makes me want to name someone after him. On that note- when I hear a really popular name- I don't even hear the name any more- it is all associations in a way.
we both liked Liam but I didnt realize it was short for william. I Love that name though. Blake I think he is still iffy on because he had a friend in high school named blake but he does like the name. When I mentioned Hunter he liked it because its very strong and manly. Drew... I liked the sound of but he said the same thing about it being short for andrew so we prob wont name him drew.
another reason we also liked liam is because its an irish name and he has an irish background.
I LOVE the name Drew!! I'd use it for a boy or a girl ;]
P.s... Congratulations!!!!!!
I like Liam.
I don't think that Blake goes well with your last name (two "K" sounds in a row is kind of awkward), Drew Crowley sounds too much like Drew Carey IMO, and I'm just not a fan of the name Hunter.
I love the name Drew best, but with Crowley, it's very similar to Drew Carey...but I've always loved that name!
Andrew Crowley is a really nice name - Drew Crowley sounds great. Blake sounds too trendy to me. Liam is my second choice, Hunter third (but it sounds like a stage name in my head).
