    @CorvusCorax:  I prefer Rosalyn over Roselyn, but do not care for Roisin at all, but that’s just me. i wouldn’t know how to pronounce it.

    @jesssamesssa:  +1, glad it wasn’t just me! I also thought raisin.

    I prefer Rosalyn.

    @CorvusCorax:  I prefer Rosalyn, but I think it depends on what pronunciation you intend to use.  If I saw Roselyn, I would pronounce it Rose-lin.  Rosalyn would be Roz-ah-lin.  I wouldn’t even know what to do with Roisin, as would I think be the case for most people – so if you choose it, expect to have to coach people on pronunciation and spelling every single time (and understand that your daughter will have to do the same for her whole life).

    My Irish husband pronounces Roisin as “Ro Sheen.” I do like it.

    @jesssamesssa:  That’s what I thought too!

    I’d go w. Rosalyn.. it’s pretty and feminine.

    @CorvusCorax:  Yeah….part of me says if you love Roisin and are OK with literally everyone you meet needing an explanation of the name, go for it….but another part of me thinks it’s kind of cruel to put that on a kid (because it’s not just you dealing with mispronunciations, misspellings, and explanations, it’s years and years of it for her).  And I honestly really don’t care for it at all.

    I’d go with Roselyn, I just prefer that spelling, no real idea why. Rosalyn just took me a minute to pronounce in my head (I was torn between is looking like Ro-sa-lyn or Roz-a-lyn). I don’t really care or Roisin… I read rasin, then roi-sen. I just don’t think that’ll ever get pronounced right.

    @jesssamesssa:  Yup this, or Hoisin sauce lol

    Either of the other two spellings I think are cute. Depends maybe on if you want to use Rose or Rosa as a short?
