Regarding the boy, why not give him a middle name from someone in your family?

If I have a boy, he’s getting my husband’s grandfather’s name.

I love them!

My FI is Matthew, and his middle name is his mom’s maiden name. My grandpa is also Matthew, and his middle name is William.

For Julianna, do you want it pronounced like Julie Anna or Juli-ah-na? If the second, you might think of spelling it Juliana. But either way, I think it’s gorgeous! I also like the J-J. We are planning to give our daughter, if we ever have one, an E-E name.

My brother is (Dad’s first name) (Mom’s Dad’s first name)

Which obviously only works if your Dad is awesome!

@eecuadrado:  Love the names Julianna and Matthew. I don’t like “Junior” but I’ve just never been a fan of juniors. Matthew is a versatile name that would go well with almost anything. I love using family names so I would take a look at other male family members/ancestors and draw inspiration from there.

Edit: You don’t have to use immediate family members’ names. If we have a second girl (we already have the name for our first picked) we love the name Ruby Joy which are a great great grandmother’s first name and grandmother’s middle name. You could go quite a ways back if you wanted and just look for inspiration.
